"Takashi Murakami: Murakami by Murakami" at the Astrup Fearnley Museet, Oslo, ends this weekend on May 14.
Murakami's first Scandinavian exhibition focuses on his renowned artworks, but also presents aspects of his activities as a collector, gallerist, businessman, and activist. In the last twenty years Murakami has been extremely visible on the international art scene but he has also taken an active role within the Japanese art world, redefining the position of the artist in society.
