one of the hardest things about writing is organization--

i love being long winded, but there are times where im worried the reader is going to be so bored TT

that's why we edit AFTER the atrocious first draft is done

day 3 of my writing progress

daily word count: 2,347 draft word count: 47,746

I thought I finished a chapter with this one, and then I realized the beginning of the chapter needed another scene TT But another chapter is close to being finished!

day 4 of my writing progress

daily word count: 432 draft word count: 47,945

A shorter count today because I spent some time reorganizing my outline. Atelis has been a struggle just with its revamped timeline. I know what events need to happen, but I keep adding scenes for realism and rearranging them so they connect with both povs I have going right now.

While I'm worried about things being too slow right now, I'm trying my best to build that tension and worldbuilding needed for further along in the story.

Who knows - I might completely delete it once I get to draft 2 :)

I am at one of those scenes that I have thought about for years, so I was able to crank it out pretty quickly. It's also one of the first time some of my characters have interacted so brain went brrr

22 words. That's certainly a number TT

I have a reached a slump in writing. I've lost my groove. But that is the writing progress, and we're going to keep pushing.

I did finally work on some transportation issues so hopefully that will help my writer's block.
