He’d been at Richard’s side most of the day, attempting to make him comfortable seeing as they were marooned in that building with their sworn enemies, Lorenzo couldn’t guarantee that his boss wasn’t plotting their demise as they sat and waited. Tension so thick, one would need a chainsaw to rip through it. It was in his best interest to keep the peace as the police’s eyes were all over them. The news of the waters getting higher had tipped him off and as he did struggle to keep his knees from buckling, the sensation he was being watched held him up. With cell service still down and his calls refusing to go through, finding Milena in the chaos was going to be a feat and a half. He didn’t like to admit it, but he cared for her. If anything were to happen, he wouldn’t know what to do--- a significant change from their relationship in it’s earliest stages. He only hoped she were somewhere safe.
