Princess Estra’s younger brother Julian, his Matrona Aria, and their two sons, Caspian and Atlas. Julian serves as the leader of the legislative body of Viridis in a role called “The Dux” - an old word for Captain. It’s the closest thing Viridis has to a Prime Minister.

Ferris: “Fine, but if you find me so intolerable then allow me to release you of your vows of service. To be straight I have been wanting to do so practically since you arrived. All you do is question me, interrupt me - I am a Comi of Viridis! The head of a house! Not one of your sycophants! I will not tolerate disloyalty or people questioning my sanity in my own home! So yes, YOU, you grasping, scheming, heartless woman, - you can leave. But if I ever see you on my Island again I will have you and your child thrown into the harbor.”

Atlas: “Were you able to get everything?” 

Mika: “Everything that matters. Look I am really sorry if I ruined whatever you had going on here.” 

Atlas: “Well you know Ferris, no one ruins things better for himself than he does.” 

Mika: “Too true.”

Roxanna (Text Message): Atlas, why is that cacari spewing his bile all over Narro? You were supposed to keep this situation under control.” 

Mika: “Of Course I did not tell Tati what Ferris said. I want to get away from him, not hurt him. My pater cannot find out Gavyn, he would be furious.” 

Roxanna (Text Message): “Just come in so we can talk about it. Your Amati will want an explanation.” 

Author notes: 

Cacari means “Shit Pile”  Tati is their term for “papa” or “daddy”  Amati is a formal term for Aunt. It’s actually not used very often in everyday speech. Most family members call older women in their mother’s/father’s generation “mata.” For example Atlas likely calls his Aunt Estra “Mata Estra.” There are cultural reasons for all this I will explain at another time.
