これを読んでいる皆さんも私も、今まさに自分がいる環境は安全だと思っているだろう。特に目に見える危険があるわけでもないし、居心地が悪いわけでもない。もしくは不安を掻き立てるような臭いなどもしない。でも、自分の感覚ではわからないような有害な環境で呼吸しているかもしれないのだ。

空気中の有害物質を検知するには通常とてつもなく大きな機器が必要だ。持ち歩くには最悪と言ってもいいだろう。これを解決するために、デザイン事務所 NotAnotherOne の共同設立者 Vera Kozyr 氏と Igor Mikhnenko 氏が Atmotube を開発した。空気の質を検知できて、携帯電話（iOSとAndroid）ともリンクでき、なんと手に収まるくらいの小ささで実現したのだ。
