    “WELL, WHY NOT?” Robin grins, holding up her flashlight and waving it around in front of her. She’s out of her depth, and she knows it, but she wouldn’t be Robin Buckley without her ever-curious nature, and INABILITY to leave anything that catches her interest alone. Besides, with the constant havoc wrecking Hawkins... the friends she’s made ( friends that finally seem like they might STICK ) in danger, she won’t just let herself sit back and study everyone else anymore. She won’t fade away. She needs to do something, damnit. “C’mon, from the looks of it no one’s been here in years. And it’s not like we’re trying to deal with ghosts, either. It’s just...a simple investigation. In and out... I can even find a key.” Her smile grows; whatever else she has on her, it’s definitely not a real key.

    WILL IS LESS QUICK TO DOUBT, as nerves build up in the pit of his stomach and tentative gaze begins to scan the area before them— the feeling that typically pervades his senses when anything otherwordly approaches is... less overwhelming than usual, but... present, nonetheless. And no matter HOW intense or not it might be, its presence at all puts Will immediately on edge. Especially with Mike with him, a newer friend he doesn’t want to DRAG into the horrors of Hawkins more than he already has just by virtue of talking to him. “We don’t know that...” He shakes his head, tone alarmingly serious as he extends an arm to stop Mike from moving forwards. “...I’ll check. Don’t— don’t ask me why, just... don’t make a SOUND while I do, okay?”

  “WELL, UNLESS YOU HAVE SOME memory-erasing miracle at your disposal too, then I hate to break it to you, but I totally just saw all of that.” Characteristic sarcasm mixes with bewildered astonishment, and as RELUCTANT as Robin is to pass all of her belief over right away, she can’t help the way the new sight ignites her rampant curiosity. Sure, she’s seen some both unbelievable and messed up shit before, but this is something entirely NEW that takes her by surprise ( looks like she’s gotten the cure to her boredom that she was just looking for ). Robin approaches Sam with clear intent to STAY there until she gets her explanation, brows raising as she waits. “Well, come on, tell me just what that all WAS already. I already saw it, so supposed to or not, it doesn’t really matter now, does it?”

   IT FEELS LIKE EVERY WORD IS TRAPPED IN PETER’S THROAT, trying their best to crawl their way out through a maze of obstacles blocking Peter’s ability to explain why he’s looking at the other so strangely— gaze flickers downwards for a moment, fiddling with the fabric of his clothes to busy himself somehow ( except it doesn’t do a lot to calm his nerves ), before Peter realizes this almost looks even WEIRDER than just staring, and lifts his head again with a forced smile. 

    “Oh- uh, sorry! I didn’t— I was... just— ...I thought I recognized you. And I was... trying to figure out... if I did, or not— guess I know now, though— um, I don’t wanna interrupt whatever you were doing, either, but... I’m a big fan!” The look on his face wasn’t how excited fans gaze at heroes, and Peter knows it, but what else could he even say? “That’s all, that’s why I was, uh... looking- it’s really cool to meet you!”

   “OH, THEY’RE JUST...” Embarrassed expression appears the moment Will notices that not only is he not alone, but the other has noticed what he’s doing, too. Alone again, he’s...found other ways to fill his time now that his friends don’t seen to be as interested in D&D as they all used to be, working on filling up a new notebook ( about halfway done by now ) with an old set of colored pencils. “They’re just drawings. I...thought the mall would be a nice place to do some of them, I don’t know.”
