JOHN 3:16 - Destroying Angels (Venus Aeon) "This song is a great one. It’s an instrumental powerhouse that starts off strong and really grabs hold of you then eases you down as it begins it journey. I truly get lost in this song when I hear it. I love how the guitar swells from the background as layers of sound begin to wash over you with the driving rhythm of the drums pushing you ever forward. Philippe really understands how to create depth and an environment in a song that just envelops you. As I mentioned this song is yet to be released, but you can hear it and more from JOHN 3:16 over at his Soundcloud page and be sure to check out his Bandcamp page where you can find even more great music from him." ... a subtle driving one building up to a distortion fueled crescendo...
Thank you Jesse Rosenbaum / Audio Disclosure for this great review of 'Of the Hex and Its Likenesses' by Anthony Donovan & JOHN 3:16
"...Prolegomena, is a subtle driving one building up to a distortion fueled crescendo that, when it hits, pierces through you. It is almost as if you have become possessed by something that is trying to strip away your clarity and you are wrestling to try and regain it, but at time lose to the piercing sound as it attempts to drown out all around you..."
