she is not a monster, despite looking mangled like one; she is his friend, and she is scared. she is hiding. he knows the feeling, but this is a terrible place to hide. who knows what this tower will do to her if she's left here for longer?
mono moves away, looking around with purpose.
he recognizes the cruelty of what must be done, but he cannot be apologetic if it will help him get his friend back.
