I did a dramedy movie with Paul Rudd who is one of my favorite actors ever. It was just great to be around people who I respect. I got to learn a lot from him.

august 2 2015: for a few dollars more | 1965 | dir. sergio leone | italy + spain + west germany | 132 min.

saw this earlier tonight at the new beverly on 35 mm. the print was okay - good, but definitely not pristine, and absolutely not perfect. they must be doing some sort of lee van cleef retrospective because every trailer they showed had him in it. which was funny to watch. this film is the sequel to a fistful of dollars, but, as i hadn’t seen the first, i can say it definitely stands alone. clint eastwood and lee van cleef are two bounty hunters who agree to work together to bring down a prolific bandit.

my biggest beef with watching this film was just how long it felt. it’s only ten minutes over two hours, but it felt like it was taking forever, mainly because the plot never definitively ends. there are so many spots in the film where it could end, but leone just keeps dragging you along. otherwise, i really enjoyed it. the brief moments of comedy - the parts that are so of their time as well as the great western one liners - made for a few dollars more more than bearable, to say the least. i wouldn’t watch it again, but it was definitely a good one to see.

I Can’t

This is really late but I haven’t gone to sleep yet so technically it still counts.

Basically my day was pretty decent. I slept pretty good last night and even though my dad woke me up and I was super tired, it wasn’t that bad. I finished season three of Secret Life and watched some tv.

But then I started to think about college and I looked into what my schedule would possibly look like for this coming semester (I still haven’t registered because the people who work there are stupid and I’m waiting on some forms) and I started to freak out because all of the classes at the campus near me are full which means my entire schedule would be at another campus that’s like in the city and I just cannot do that. For one it’s out of the way and I’ve never even been there but there’s another reason I can’t even say. So I started to panic and think that maybe I should just take a semester off (still considering this) or something.

Then I saw a post that made me sad and then I couldn’t stop crying and I was having a panic attack and I was just so overwhelmed and I couldn’t even think straight.

Now I’m just sitting here with nothing to do and I’m tired but there was just a big bug in my bed so I’m still like freaking out from that so I need to calm down some from that before I can even think about going to sleep.

So basically today was pretty good but tonight really sucked.
