so. i finally picked up Our Dark Duet which was sitting on my book shelf for 2 years. finished it in like a day and a half. and i think victoria schwab is trying to kill me.

this book ripped out my heart and ate it.

i am a different person after finishing this duology. i love when books have the power to do that and i love these books but i am not okay

What’s cool about Ilsa Flynn is that both of her fucked up brothers were doomed by the narrative but in different ways. Like Leo probably just sank deeper and deeper into his own obsession with “cleansing” the world and stuff until he was no longer her brother at all and august realized he was sinking into something that wasn’t him but couldn’t stop it. Idk I just think it’s interesting that Leo was doomed to die and august was doomed to survive no matter what. anyway seeing that happen to both her siblings and not being able to do much at all about it probably wasn’t good for her lol.

So, I just finished the monsters of verity duology, and can we all agree that Kate and August were in a QPR?? And both probably a-spec in someway?? Bc they totally were
