THAT LAST UPDATE THO
I still cried even though I got the start of upright for all 3!
I kneel down to the cold, ashen earth below my feet, my knees sinking into the cool dank dirt. The hem of my dress muddies as I pull Asra into my arms. His shaking form breaks my heart, and at that moment all I can do is hold him as I hold myself together.
Last theory, on that note...
Aight y'all, this is gonna be a stretch, but keep in mind I'm just brainstorming for fun. So, that alternate reality... how do we know it isn't, like... the future? Like what if Sven is a DESCENDANT of Shiro? And, some day, Allura discovers a pocket of an Altean refugee camp, who escaped Zarkon. And she is able to rebuild her people and their population grows under her and Voltron's protection? And then, I don't know... something bad happens and she feels the need to go overboard in trying to keep everyone safe? Maybe the Paladins-- her friends-- try to stop her, but ultimately cannot, as they can't form Voltron without her...

I call out, and yet no one hears me.
That new chapter thoooooooo
I just had to draw Aullura in her masquerade outfit. The card that I currently identify her with is The Star; one of personal transformation, hope, inspiration, and serenity.
Morning, love.
Aullura can feel herself spacing out. Her head is fuzzy with exhaustion, and all she wants to do is sleep. Asra is okay. So is Julian. And yet, the threat of Lucio and the plague looms. She can still hear his voice, clawing at the back of her mind.
“Aullura? Are you feeling all right?” Asra’s voice jolts her from the fog. It takes her a moment to register the question through the exhaustion.
“Ah-y-yes. I’m okay,” Aullura gives him a weak smile from her spot on the bed as she watched him pull some sleep clothes for himself from the oak drawer in the corner. She herself had already changed into her night gown, a soft sheer robe over top. Gifts from Nadia, and extravagant ones of silk. Pink dusts her cheeks at the thought of Asra being infatuated with the feel of them when she first wore them.
“You look pale again. Are you dizzy? Headache?” Asra worries, pressing a warm hand to her cheek. Aullura sighs softly, leaning into his touch.
“Just a little cold,” Aullura admits softly, turning to kiss his palm. “I’ve had this chill that I can’t shake today.” Asra’s brow knits in both worry and guilt, and it makes Aullura take his hand in hers. “I know what you’re going to say. So, shush,” she teases playfully, pressing a kiss to his knuckle. Asra huffs a laugh, smiling that lop-sided smile that Aullura loves so much.
“I think I can help with that, at least,” Asra says with a damned eyebrow waggle that makes Aullura burst into giggles. She lets go of his hand to allow Asra to quickly change into soft cotton sleep clothes. Aullura slides herself under the sheets, huffing at their coolness. Vesuvia was at that time of the year where the days were warm, but the nights ran much cooler. Goosebumps broke out on her pale, freckled skin at the contact of the sheets.
Aullura’s mind wanders. To that day. To that dark island. To the rasped voice in her head. The ghostly claws at her back.
To the heat licking at her skin and the memories that flared.
