This is more or less how to talk with Aura, though I’m not sure if I’ve updated all of her words, but you can more or less string them together to make a coherent sentence that she understands. So, I could say “Ready? Where’s your ball (oop forgot that one already), bring it up in the car” .. That just lets her know we’re going out, and I want her to bring a toy she wants. Or if we’re out on her long line and she’s running and doesn’t realise her legs hooked (or she doesn’t care) I can say “Whoa (slow down/ stop) paw (i need to grab your paw), then I can tell her hike if we’re going to keep running with her ahead, or just “free” so she can do whatever she likes.
I’ve written what-to-do-ifs with her problematic behaviours that visitors are most likely going to experience (the way it usually goes, the more bothered by it, the more she does it?). It’s been a bit hard to train her out of that with friends, but she won’t do it to me much at all.. it really depends on the person, plus there’s the whole ‘she’s not a dog’ thing, so she’s expressing social behaviours that make sense to her, and I can never really know how high I can put expectations on her.
OMG and i can’t forget - the art in the corner was made by the extremely talented and super lovely ohlookathing
