welcome to auradon, ARRAN DRAKE (THE SHERIFF OF NOTTINGHAM) ! they look an awful lot like COLIN O'DONOGHUE. they are currently working as a MERCENARY and are THIRTY-TWO. if you get to know them, you would say that they can be CHARISMATIC but they could also be RUTHLESS. HE have been said to identify as a BISEXUAL MALE . lastly, they have been in auradon for A FEW WEEKS.

Arran grew up in a normal, loving home, the only son to two poor farmers.  Life was hard, and he and his loved ones had nothing.  His parents both fell sick and died before he’d reached the age of fifteen, and they couldn’t afford medicine for either of them.  He swore never to feel that hardship again if he could, and he left home to go join the guard.

It was a rougher world than he expected, working in the military, but Arran took to it well.  He only had to care about and look after himself, and obey what orders he was given.  Turning out to be good with a blade, and a good leader with the other men, he quickly advanced; gaining rank and power with every year.

He was surprised not to be sent off with Richard when he left to the fight, established as Sheriff of Nottingham and suddenly he was having to take heavy taxes from the village and fight the outlaws trying to help them.   Arran didn’t like it, but those were his orders and John was the king, whether he liked him or not.  He was merciless, unable to let himself be soft or he’d fail in his duty, which he knew meant death.

Arran was almost glad when it was over, the true king returning to set things to right.  Being imprisoned with John felt unjust, but it only got worse when he was suddenly trapped on an Isle of poverty.  He was back where he started, an it filled him with a dark rage.  He was thrown on the Isle about a decade after that started, which only made it worse.  No power or strength, having to find an unclaimed home and fight for survival.

He was left there to rot until the barrier was destroyed by Hades, unleashing Arran an his vengeance on Auradon.  However, he wasn’t an idiot, and wasn’t going for blood immediately.  He would wait, plot, and observe the so called heroes to look for an advantage.  Until then, he finds work where he can.  A guard, occasional hunter, whoever will hire him the man will take. Arran is either here for vengeance, or simply going to leave Auradon for good.  Both plans require funds that he doesn’t currently have.

Personality:

Arran can be thoughtful, and kind in a roundabout way.  He worries about seeming weak, and so often puts on a hard exterior.  He doesn’t trust easily, but he does his best not to be needlessly unkind though fails occasionally.

When pushed, Arran can be violent and ruthless, his compassion for others something he has to work for.  He has little to no friends, and he holds on to his grudges tightly.  Arran is lonely, but puts on a good act for the world.

welcome to auradon, KAI ARMEL ! they look an awful lot like DOUGLAS BOOTH they are currently working as an COLLEGE STUDENT and are TWENTY ONE. and are known around town as the kids of MOR'DU. if you get to know them, you would say that they can be WISE but they could also be TEMPERMENTAL. HE have been said to identify as a BISEXUAL MALE . lastly, they have been in auradon for 3 MONTHS.

Like most VK’s, childhood was rough for Kai.  The son of Mor’Du, the bear jokes were endless as well as the comments on his accent.  And the VK took it with class, though his enemies tended to end up rather brutally paying for their comments until finally they stopped.  He established himself as someone not to be messed with, and left it at that.

At home, Mor’Du was a rather stern, domineering father, but he taught his son to be wise.  Think through his choices, plan ahead, and to learn when his ambition was to high.  The former bear had learned his lesson, and he wanted to be assured that Kai would lead a better life than him.

Kai didn’t mind life on the Isle, his ability to survive well enough that he and Mor’Du weren’t struggling terribly.  Even though he could tell resources were running out and the end would come sooner rather than later if they all stayed on the Isle.  His invitation to Auradon didn’t seem to be coming either, but then it did, five years after the first four.  He accepted, but not before swearing to his Father he’d find a way to get him out.

The moment he was settled into a new place to live the young man set to work, choosing to study law to find a loophole there, while also trying to test and find out if he had magic.  And he did, just not how he expected he would.   He was exceptionally frustrated when it happened, Kai changing from a young man into a monstrous black bear. It was horrifying, and he spent a whole day in the woods trying to figure out how to change back before he was finally able to calm and change back.  

When the barrier came down, his stress was alleviated, but he’s now terrified of turning into a bear if he feels the wrong emotion.  Kai hasn’t even managed to tell his father, though the secret is eating away at him.

Personality:

Kai is cunning and intelligent, but he knows how to use it.  He uses his wisdom to help if someone wants it, but will also watch comfortably as someone fails if they want to.   For those who count him as a friend he is a great one, though he’s gotten more seclusive with his new curse.  

He can be impatient and occasionally paranoid, and he also isn’t the friendliest.  Kai can also be violent if provoked, and while a bear he can’t really control himself; the young man a mixture of bear and human instinct in that form.

welcome to auradon, THORN ! they look an awful lot like AVAN JOGIA. they are currently working as an COFFEE SHOP OWNER and are TWENTY-THREE. and are known around town as the kids of VIDIA (ADOPTED). if you get to know them, you would say that they can be HELPFUL but they could also be CRUEL. HE have been said to identify as a BISEXUAL MALE. lastly, they feel AGAINST the vk’s being in auradon.

Thorn was born from a baby’s laugh like a good number of fairies, but with his dark coloring and his talent as a fast-flying fairy, it was Vidia and not Queen Clarion that the young fairy attached to, learning from her and practically being raised by the loner fairy.   She took him in with reluctance, but she was a sort of mother to him, and her mannerisms and ways of thought rubbed off on the child.

Much like Vidia he didn’t fit in in Pixie Hollow, though he never minded it.  It was simply how things were, and how things were worked.  Everything went smoothly, expectedly, and there weren’t any problems.

He did join the others at Auradon prep when he was of age, and continued to stand out with his dark, none-optimistic demeanor.  Especially when it came to the VK’s.   They were messing with how things were, and why fix a system that isn’t really broken?  Everyone was safe, and no one should’ve bothered.

Now with the villains free and everyone trying to make friends, Thorn is even more irritated with others, not understanding the pity everyone feels or the trust they’re willing to offer.  He knows all it’ll take is one little slip and the villains will ruin their world.  

But, Thorn simply chooses to run his coffee shop, watch, and wait.  If no one will listen to him, fine.  But the fairy intends to be ready when he turns out to be right.

Personality:

If Thorn sees anyone in need of a hand, his first instinct is to help.  He does look out for others even though he’s a bit of a loner, and he can be kind.  

He tends to be rather short, and pretentious, thinking himself better than the VK’s.  He can also be cruel and callous, and unapologetically so.

welcome to auradon, HERA! they look an awful lot like NATALIE DORMER. they are currently working as a GODDESS/THERAPIST and are IMMORTAL. if you get to know them, you would say that they can be LOVING but they could also be EASILY OFFENDED. SHE have been said to identify as a PANSEXUAL FEMALE . lastly, they feel FOR the vk’s being in auradon.

Hera is an old an ancient being, and most of her story is fairly known.  Goddess of marriage, women, and birth.  She is also Queen of the gods, and she’s held that title for centuries.  She loves Zeus with all her heart, and they’ve ruled together for every moment of eternity.

 When Hercules was taken from her her heart was broken, though it was eased when he was at least alive.  He was mortal, and she’d not be able to raise him herself, but she loved him and was alright with watching him grow from above, though she will always hold a grudge against Hades and his offspring because of his actions.

Coming to the capital of this odd land, She’s settled in as a therapist, overall okay with the VK’s being in auradon and recognizing that both heros and villains alike as well as their offspring could use someone to talk to.  

Personality: 

Hera is patient and well-intentioned, wanting to help others and keep the balance.  She is assertive and determined, always knowing her mind and is unafraid to speak it.  Hera doesn’t have the aversion to magic most of the royals do, the goddess unashamedly using her powers and daring anyone to challenge her about it.

She is also impatient, and when offended she holds a grudge forever.  She takes her vengeance in little ways, making your life miserable in a thousand little ways for a long time before she is satisfied.  The smallest slight will draw her ire, so it’s wise for most to be cautious around the woman.

welcome to auradon, KADE HUNTSMAN ! they look an awful lot like LIAM HEMSWORTH. they are currently working as a HUNTER and are TWENTY-TWO. and are known around town as the kids of THE HUNTSMAN. if you get to know them, you would say that they can be ENDEARING but they could also be BITTER. HE have been said to identify as a BISEXUAL MALE. lastly, they have been in auradon for THREE YEARS.

Even from a young age Kade had an accute feeling of not fitting in, born on the Isle and abandoned immediately by his mother on his father’s doorstep.  He was luckier than most to have a caring parent, but neither belonged on the Isle and had been abandoned there by those his father had aided.  Just because the Huntsman had served the evil Queen he was put on the Isle and forgotten, which was a bitterness he passed to his son.

Because of his father aiding Snow White, the other villains held no respect for his father, and their children held no respect for his son.  Kade never ran with a gang or had any real close friends, unable to be soft and only hard edges and fighting.  He got into fights rather often, it a miracle he lived if he was honest.

When his invitation to Auradon came, he nearly turned it down out of spite, his father having to convince/force him to take it and the opportunity it offered.  He was almost hopeful that things would be better in Auradon, and they were in a sense.  Some were kind, and the young man did enjoy learning.  But still others judged and cast him aside as a VK, while the VK’s still did the same to him as a lost hero kid.

As soon as he’d finished basic education Kade took to the woods,  hunting and furring, and using that skill to provide for himself while staying out of others way.  He’s friendly enough, but expects to be tossed aside like he’s been his whole life.

Personality:

Kade is friendly, and can be sweet if he likes someone.  He’s a hard worker, and puts his all into whatever task he puts himself to.  When he calls someone friend he’s devoted and loyal, and would gladly fight on their behalf.

He is bitter towards others a bit, both from the Isle and off because of his own mistreatment and rejection.  He doesn’t expect much good out of life, and the only good relationship he feels he’s had is with his father.  He’ll fight easily, and doesn’t take anything from anyone if he can help it.

welcome to auradon, KILLIAN JACOBS (THE HORNED KING)! they look an awful lot like THEO JAMES. they are currently working as a PAWN SHOP OWNER and are IMMORTAL. if you get to know them, you would say that they can be DRIVEN but they could also be BLUNT. HE have been said to identify as a PANSEXUAL MALE . lastly, they have been in auradon for A FEW WEEKS.

Ever since Killian was young he knew he’d never be anything heroic or good, and that was fine with him.  His mother was a dark witch, and passed on her talents to her son, father gone before he was even born.

Both mother and son aspired to rule, seeing that the leadership around them was terrible and ended up taking over their own kingdom with their magic.  It made the people fear them, and it was ultimately how he got the moniker “the Horned King”, his helmet having large, fearsome horns.  

Once the throne was taken however, mother and son had some disagreements, and she banished him, trapping him in a catacombs and leaving him there to die rather than be threatened by him taking the throne himself one day.  This in turn made Killian turn to even blacker and unspeakable magics, the man making himself immortal and deciding to take over not just his mother’s lands, but the entire world just to prove himself better.

It was centuries before  the black Cauldron was anywhere near his reach, and his mother had long past.  But it didn’t shake his resolve, continuing to work to raise his skeleton army.  He’d magically altered his appearance to that of the horrifying skeleton king, his minions and servants fear motivating them more than his magic alone could.  

Being defeated by a young man and a pig was rather degrading for the sorcerer, but he could accept when he’d been defeated.  And it wasn’t long after his defeat that he found himself freed from his cave prison and in a new prison of the “heroes” design.  Admittedly he didn’t mind it, as it was much bigger than the one his mother had allotted him, but he didn’t exactly voice that opinion.

Children was a new struggle, and not wanting to be the betrayer his mother was and not let his child be soft on this Isle of villains and plots proved to be a challenge.  Caring for his children without appearing to was a narrow edge to walk, and he does worry he failed repeatedly.  But whether they care for him or not, Killian is at least assured in that he tried.

Now with the barrier down and freedom in hand, Killian’s undecided on what to do with it.   Does he try for another throne, or does he just wait in the shadows and see how it plays out?  Maybe find a new life all-together.  Either way, he has a shop to earn some money while he decides, and until then will enjoy what he does have.

Personality:

Killian goes after what he wants whole heartedly, and doesn’t let anything get in his way.  Sometimes it’s not a good thing he’s pursuing, but Killian’s never claimed to be good.  He’s simply a man, and he knows his choices can swing from neutral to evil very quickly.  He doesn’t care what others think, and lives how he wants.  Killian cares about family, though he’s unsure if they know that.

He can be aggressively blunt, one to share his thoughts and honestly no matter the consequences.  There’s no backstabbing or hiding in the shadows with him, Killian will own his plans and readily admit if he’s plotting and what.  Usually by the time people figure it out he’s pretty far along anyways.

welcome to auradon, IDRIS TRITON ! they look an awful lot like JEREMY IRVINE. they are currently working as an COLLEGE STUDENT and are TWENTY-TWO. and are known around town as the kids of ARISTA. if you get to know them, you would say that they can be FRIENDLY but they could also be DISTANT. HE have been said to identify as a HOMOSEXUAL MALE . lastly, they feel FOR the vk’s being in auradon.

Idris grew up happy and fun with his mother under the sea, loving hi family and friends and living a pretty carefree life.

Was sent to Auradon Prep when he was younger, and it was here where he really blossomed, making tons of new friends and launching himself with dedication into academics.  

It was also at school where he met Jackson Sullivan, and around the same time discovered he was gay.  He’d never taken any interest in girls, but it wasn’t till he found himself crushing hard on the other AK.  He didn’t tell him at first, unsure if he liked guys too, but eventually he confessed and the two ended up dating.  

With Jackson, Idris was happier than he’d ever been.  Life was perfect, the two boys inseparable and he’d never been closer to anyone.  Idris hadn’t ever been in love before, so Jackson sweeping him completely head over heels was a totally new and intense experience for him.  

They were together for a few years,  Idris completely lost in love for Jackson even with his occasional mood swings and being unable to communicate sometimes, but  he loved every minute of it. Jackson made him happier than he ever had been, and he strove to do the same for the other.  But there was strain on their relationship that grew overtime, Jackson’s moods harder to deal with and when Idris suggested there may be something wrong the other male would get angry so he eventually just stopped bringing it up. 

Finally it all came to a head when Idris got a letter from home, his dad sick and likely to die if he couldn’t be cured.  The stress of worrying over Jackson and now his family struggles weighing him down, that night when he and Jackson ended up in a fight Idris couldn’t take it.  He broke it off, only telling Jackson it was because he couldn’t handle it without the other getting help and he just left. Jackson didn’t need to be burdened by him and his own problems on top of how bad this breakup would hurt, so he didn’t share it. 

Heartbroken and lonelier than he’s ever been, Idris is finishing out this year of school before dropping out to go to work. He travels home near every weekend to spend time with his family, and any other free moment he has is spent studying, sleeping, or working whatever odd job he can find.

Personality:

Idris is always kind, and patient with most everyone who crosses his path.  He loves having a lot of friends and being around people, though lately he’s been unable to because of his extreme schedule.  Still, he’ll make time for someone when he’s needed, even at detriment to himself.  

He can be rather depressed at times, and he’s learned to keep his problems to himself.  He worries about burdening others, and amidst his current life drama he’s become a recluse, his parents being the only people to see him regularly and often.

welcome to auradon, CHERNABOG DRAGOV! they look an awful lot like CHRIS EVANS they are currently working as an DRUG DEALER/BARTENDER and are IMMORTAL. if you get to know them, you would say that they can be CHARMING but they could also be PURE EVIL. HE have been said to identify as a PANSEXUAL MALE . lastly, they have been in auradon for A WEEK.

Admittedly, Chernabog himself doesn’t know where he came from.  He has labels like demon, satan, the devil, evil itself, but he doubt’s that’s his true tale.  He doesn’t care to find out what that is, but he goes with what life’s made him.  From the beginning he didn’t feel, moving on whim and doing whatever he desired.

And ultimately that’s all his existence has been, wreaking chaos and fear wherever he goes.  At times it was tiresome, and it was actually how be began developing emotion, that dissatisfaction. He adapted, learning to use his powers of darkness, spirits and corruption as a start.  His control over fire, as well as his powerful strength and endurance were something that always were a part of him.  He learned to master his appearance from a horned monster, to something more normal, the form close to one a human man would have

Though with his transformation, his powers became even more dangerous, the hearts of mortals more inclined to trust a monster that looked like them.  Good men turned towards their inner darkness through his prodding and power, the evil and chaos growing and spreading in his wake.  

He continued like that until he was tricked onto the Isle, and his magic was stripped away.  Chernabog was surprised to find he didn’t turn back into a monster without his power to hide him, but he didn’t dwell on the thought long.  There was much to adapt to on the isle, and it wasn’t long before he’d established himself as the most powerful and therefore not to be trifled with villain on the isle, with some of the random minions about having been turned towards villainy by him.

His perspective started to change when one of the women he’d shared an evening with appeared with a baby and abandoned it in his arms, declaring it his before leaving.  A part of him wanted to be rid of it, but as he looked at the child, he felt an odd fondness for it, the feeling something he wasn’t accustomed to.  Something that confused him.  But he kept the babe, as well as the five that followed, each bringing him frustration and that odd fond feeling.  No one would call him loving or affectionate, Chernabog himself not believing himself capable of it; but he took care of them in his way.  Ensured no one would hurt them or face his wrath.  And he showed favor to those who looked after them.  But it was all he knew to do. 

Chernabog encouraged his kids to leave when the time came, those that looked to him, and he almost felt more normal alone, back to his old habits in full and helping people indulge those dark desires they held.  And then suddenly he was free, unleashed on Auradon and all their prim and perfect facades.  He’s actually rather excited to cause a little corruption. 

Personality:

Chernabog can be charming and personable, mostly just to be more approachable.  He’ll listen, all the while using his power to sense the dark desire within and nudge it towards the surface and he revels in chaos.  Ultimately he’s rather against Auradon and what it stands for, the perfection an annoying deception to him that he wouldn’t mind having a hand in messing up.

He can be gentle, and oddly caring, but mostly only for his children.  Chernabog doesn’t understand what that softness in him is at all and ignores it, rather leaning into his darkness rather than letting himself think there’s something good in him.  He wouldn’t know what to do with that knowledge if he thought he was anything other than a being of darkness.
