Who do you trust the most? 

“I trust Aurelius with my life because he’s always been there for me. He’s never let me down and I think he’s incapable of doing so. He is the only person that has consistently supported me and has been by my side since I was a child. I wish I could name those who have known me longer, my own flesh and blood, but my family can’t be trusted. For a long time I trusted Magnus but each day I feel us drifting further and further and I know he has already taken my father’s side. “

Who do I trust the least? 

“My father, I know better than to trust him or men like him in positions of power. He is ruthless and selfish and has never shown me an ounce of kindness because he hasn’t thought I could be of use to him. It must be easy for Magnus to trust him because he’s been grooming him since he was born to be his perfect little king, but no one else should trust my father. He is a man who is only looking out for himself. “

How do you feel about home?

“sad. angry. determined to get it back. after so long missing kradaeca during the first war and the plague, it seems horribly unfair that i cannot be there now. i just want to go home.”

Though Magnus had never truly needed anything from Aurelius, he knows that he can trust him with any request and that he will do what was asked as perfectly as he could and with discretion. And though he is used to servants doing whatever he asks, Aurelius is different and even if they don’t truly talk much, Magnus does trust the man.
