Garrus quietly cursed to himself, the words slipping from him the moment he had heard the door to the battery slide itself open. He straightened out his posture as he turned to properly face her. Last thing he needed was to be rude and keep himself turned away from her as he tried to work. He could afford a moment to dislodge himself from the gun anyway. 

With an embarrassed twitch of his mandibles he let out a small chuckle of his own, crossing his arms as he leaned against the now locked terminal. 

“Sorry, Tali. If I had known it was you I wouldn’t have auto piloted you to the ‘wait list’.” 

He said as he did his own little version of ‘air quotes’, taking the action from numerous human films he had seen.

Her landing was a bit clumsy, her fall heavy in the process, but Eddie made it off the ledge fairly easy. While the decision to go alone maybe wasn’t a smart one, she felt it necessary not to waste manpower on collecting a few pieces of tech for the Crucible.

Reapers had jumped the cargo ship on its way there, and she and her pirate crew were tasked with getting them back. It appeared the Reaper forces had dispersed, likely stealing some things in the process, but the girl was determined to pick at least something from the wreckage. Back-up was on hold just in case, but she truly wanted to prove herself - for once.

Despite the scene being pretty much abandoned, she still hid in shadows and behind anything she could find. Eddie rose her hand to chest level, palm glowing cyan as she peered over the corner. A voice went off in her ear.

“Hurry it up,” the voice instructed impatiently; Eddie could practically hear her captain’s fingers tapping.

Let’s not be stupid... The words were at the tip of her tongue, but a figure nearby caught her attention first and she snapped her mouth shut. She moved her hand close, hiding the light glow with her body so the other wouldn’t see. With a deep breath, she slid around the corner, hand extended outward with her glowing palm aimed at the stranger.

“Who are you, and what do you want?” she demanded, though her voice was small and even a little nervous. Her mask hid any expression she could have had.

which should i answer to? do you like one more than the other? i’m not 100% sure what’s going on in the “gunfire” one.
