You Have Authority
Did you know that we should be doing battle with satan daily? Satan and his army have strategically planned and plotted against us every day. Satan uses what sins we have committed and the sins of generations past up to the 4th generation. Deuteronomy 5:9 "You shall not worship them or serve them; for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous (impassioned) God [demanding what is rightfully and uniquely mine], visiting (avenging) the iniquity (sin, guilt) of the fathers on the children [that is, calling the children to account for the sins of their fathers], to the third and fourth generations of those who hate me." We must remain vigilant in our walk and take the authority that Jesus gave us. When Jesus hung on the cross and died he gave us that authority and power by the Holy Spirit working within us. Luke 10:19 "Listen carefully: I have given you authority [that you now possess] to tread on serpents and scorpions, and the [ability to exercise authority] over ALL THE POWER OF THE ENEMY (satan); and nothing will [in any way ] harm you." We have to stop waiting for God to move when he already gave us the authority. Warfare is needed to conquer the devil and take our legal rights back. Whenever satan is coming against us he is either trespassing or he has some legal right to attack us. We must take the necessary steps to get ourselves healed so that we can become spotless. 2 Peter 3:14 "So, beloved, since you are looking forward to these things, be diligent and make every effort to be found by him [at His return] spotless and blameless, in peace [that is, inwardly calm with a sense of spiritual well being and confidence, having lived a life of obedience to Him].
