Just made my best friend, who is autistic, watch Kinnporsche. They asked if Kim was autistic or just super antisocial and when I said they don’t specify, they go…no I’m autistic and I’m declaring that man is an autistic kitten.

Sick and tired of getting told people with invisible disabilities don't have it that hard and that visible disabilities aren't taken seriously. Fuck off.
Some people don't even believe mental illness exists either. Hard to fucking disprove a disorder that has effects you can see. People with visible disabilities have a hard time too but jfc don't act like people with invisible disabilities don't often get the short end of the stick in comparison.
99% of the population don't expect someone in a wheelchair or who has a cane to run a fucking marathon. They don't expect someone who is legally blind to fucking see either.
But yet many people with invisible disabilities are expected to do shit that is literally impossible for us or extremely hard for us.
Getting told stuff like this gets old:
"Autism doesnt define you."
NO FUCKING SHIT KAREN! I ALREADY KNEW THAT! I just got told this today. I was having trouble explaining myself (which i was too tired to realize at the time) and told two of my coworkers I have autism to explain why they need to be direct with me or I won't know what they want. It's literally how my fucking brain works. I got told I was using autism as an excuse by another coworker.
MY 80 AND 90 YEAR OLD RESIDENTS UNDERSTAND AUTISM BETTER THAN YOU AND THEY AREN'T EVEN FROM A GENERATION WHERE IT IS MORE WIDELY KNOWN!!! IF THEY CAN UNDERSTAND ME SO CAN YOU KAREN!

All I wanted to do was explain my recent meltdown. All I got in response is a meme sent to me...

Bottom text: “My doctor: NO IT’S NOT”
I’ve had knee problems for years and it’s recently worsened a LOT, but I waited until the pain kept me up at night to make an appointment.
When my doctor manipulated my knee it made a loud “crack” sound, but I’m used to it because it makes that sound a thousand times a day.
My doctor FREAKED OUT and ordered a bunch of tests, before asking me how I can even walk right now.
So uh this is a reminder to all of us that autistic people often have trouble listening to their bodies’ signals and to please take care of yourselves ! <3

[Top text: *logs onto Imgur* “I hate my autistic brother and his birth was a mistake”
Bottom text: *logs off of Imgur*]
I logged onto Imgur just to upload a picture of a cute squishy toy, and what do I see on the homepage but a story about how this person wants to beat up their autistic brother because all he does is scream/yell and he never talks at all? Suddenly uploading the picture of the squishy toy doesn’t seem important anymore.
