“Heard through the grapevine you’re an actor, like me,” Faust said this in lieu of a proper greeting as he approached the woman. He knew a few things about Autumn- that she was one of the teachers for the sanctuary, and that she’d had an acting career prior to the end of the world. All in all, she was exactly what he was looking for.
“I had an idea that I wanted to run past you,” he cleared his throat, then raised his hands in a dramatic gesture as if outlining his name in lights (he did this often).
“A Tribute to a Midsummer Night’s Dream, starring the kids of Sanctuary Elementary,” he raised his eyebrows expectantly, “What do you think? Has a nice ring to it, huh?” a brief moment of silence, “Look, I know it’s an ambitious task, but I really want these kids to have something fun to do, and who better to ask for help than you, y’know?”
He realized, then, that he’d literally bombarded this woman with questions before even properly introducing himself.
“I’m Faust, by the way,” he said after a pause, “If you didn’t know that already. Sorry, I’m...rambling. I do that a lot.”
