Ava looked up from bandaging the girl's foot, the other had accidentally tread on a piece of glass that somehow found its way into her shoe and had been bleeding quite a bit. "I'm a medical student," she said, smiling at the girl, "I would hope I'm better at bandaging injuries than you. You're probably way better at your job than I am so I guess it all evens out." She finished up putting the gauze on and stuck a piece of medical tape to hold it together. "When it stops bleeding, I'll put some ointment on and a normal bandage and it'll heal in no time," she stood up to wash her hands.

"Ouch! That was my foot!"

Ava jumped away, "Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry, are you okay?" The words rushed out of her mouth like a torrent of rain and she kneeled down to check the other girl's foot. "It looks okay, I just stepped on it, right?" She stands up again, looking worried.
