Personality: Belle is a no nonsense sort of person. She is open to a more flirty and charming side as a siren but she also is nowhere near scared of calling someone out for their behavior and if it covers up something. She is rather fearless and blunt when it comes to telling someone what she thinks of them and their behavior. To those who know her well enough she can be mistaken for cold or uncaring. When she’s not changing her personality to suit the desires of others in order to lure victims she makes a job of seeming as if she’s an immovable force simply so she isn’t taken advantage of. She strongly believes those who are kind and compassionate are weak and will end up getting taken advantage of because of it. Sometimes her blunt and tactless nature can be taken as unusually cruel, however others find her lack of nonsense rather refreshing when being around her. Despite her colder exterior presentation she’s far more morally inclined than most sirens. She has some concept of protecting her love ones but she also believes it’s a kill or be killed world. She just so happens to break to rules of this more than often when it comes to those she’s softer for. Because she often sees love is a weakness she often fights rather desperately for her affection for someone to not come to surface. Sometimes she can be even more crueler to those she cares about for this simple reason to push them away. Belle has a very short span for annoyance and gets irritated relatively quickly.
Biography: Anna was born into a small pod of sirens. They had a tradition among them. The women had two cycles of fertility a year, and they would use this cycle to access their human form and seduce and bed a male. For her pod specifically they would kill the male after mating with them. Her mother’s first cycle she found a human male and mated with him before luring him out to sea and drowning him. Eventually Anna was born from the union. The pod was beyond excited for Anna’s birth. She was the first live born baby they’d had in a long time. She was one step closer from avoiding extinction. However, soon things went back to business as usual and Anna was raised in the same format as most sirens. She was expected to be cold and unrelenting. No mercy was their phrase and motto. Anna didn’t necessarily agree with their way of living. It both drew attention to their species and brought hell upon them more than often than not and truthfully Anna didn’t have the same desire for bloodshed. She frequently told the elders of the pod that they were going extinct because they kept bringing men to the water and that eventually if they didn’t stop their pod would be wiped away because of stupidity and lack of control. They dismissed her as soft-hearted. They said she wasn’t meant to be one of them. Her views didn’t change, even as she shifted away from something of teenage years. They were growing more and more annoyed with her views. Finally things came to a head with her family. She was swimming one day with one of her pod members when they happened upon a boat. The other pod member decided to lure the boat to crashing. However, Anna started to notice that only some of the crew was affected by this. When it became clear that they were going to be caught or killed, Anna decided that she was going to tuck tail and run. She didn’t care about her pod member at the moment. The woman had brought it on herself as far as she was concerned. When she went back to her pod they were absolutely furious. They couldn’t believe that Anna would let such a thing happen to a fellow siren. Anna said she brought it on herself and that she warned them all. They were furious, and while they laid into Anna, she didn’t face any other consequences. Much to her pleasure, they did agree to lay low for a while after everything that had happened. They weren’t off killing randomly. Mostly just strategic attacks. One day, a siren from another pod came to them. She had been outcast from her pod. They agreed to take her in. Anna started to fall in love with her, but she had struggles showing it. She was scared what her pod might think if she did. Anna finally let herself open up to the woman eventually. However it turned out to be one of the bigger mistakes of her life. The woman had been sent as a trap by her pod, her goal was to prove that Anna was weak and dispose of her. The first night after sleeping with her, Anna woke up in the worst pain. She’d been poisoned. And more so yet her entire pod had abandoned her. She made it to land and struggled for days before she finally came out of it. Anna vowed never to return after that. She wouldn’t allow them to make a fool of her again. She wandered earth for the next thirty years, barely going near the water for the longest time. It was easier that way, there was less pain. She adventured, explored. She saw the world. It took her a long time but she eventually found herself falling for someone again. A fae-witch hybrid. Anna didn’t let Elody sway her with her more seductive ways and Elody didn’t let Anna just brush her off. They fell for each other. It took Anna a lot longer to open herself up. Finally, one night they got together. However, the next morning when Anna woke up she was gone without a trace. Anna was furious and angry. She couldn’t believe something like that had happened. But she tried her best to return to life as usual. She went back to travelling and something drew her to Falls Church, little did she know that Elody was there.
Name: Axel Emric Love. Nicknames: N/A. Biological Age: 24. Real Age: 30. Birthday: DD/MM/1988. Star Sign: UTA. Place of Birth: Hell. Current Town: Hell. Sexuality: Heterosexual. Marital Status: Single. Species: Demon. Occupation: N/A. Education: N/A. Faceclaim: Tyler Posey.
Personality: Axel had been granted something that the other two children of Lucifer had not been. He had been given the opportunity to have a positive influence in his life, one that had come without a steep price. He’d been brought up with two views on things, always able to see things from both his motions emotional and compassionate point of view, and from his father’s cold and bitter point of view. It allowed him to become someone who could find the middle ground in things and often arrive at a logical perspective where others could not look past their emotions. However, despite being able to think logically, he’s always weighed more to the compassionate side than anything, though he’s done a remarkable job of concealing it. Axel has a lot of internal turmoil stirring within him, a lot of which has to do with the rejection from both of his parents. In Lucifer, it was outright, he always reminded Axel he was his greatest failure, often suggesting that Blake couldn’t help being useless, but Axel had had a chance for greatness that he denied. And in his mother, he always believed she would be there for him through thick and thin, and that fact wouldn’t be able to be altered so simply, when she left, he was heartbroken. He didn’t leave his room for days until he was forced to. Because of rejection from both parents, he always felt as if he didn’t really have a place in the world, since both of his worlds rejected him. He’s held a deeper insecurity, and when he refused to be emotionally vulnerable with others, or let them in, it was not because he was cold and heartless like his father wanted him to be, or like people expected him to be, it was because he feared letting them in would mean they too would later reject him. He often holds them at an arm’s length not by lying or conniving or acting, but by simply telling them who his father is and letting their own conclusions and judgements frighten them off. Axel is honest, he doesn’t tend to scheme, lie and connive like his brother Jacob and father like to do. Though he does take acts to have to avoid total truths about himself, like his insecurities and what not. Often times, Axel is a quiet observer in the background, not in the same way his brother Blake is, but more so as a way to avoid the crowd rather than fear all the people. Axel stills holds a partial loyalty to his father, and even if he won’t do every evil deed his father asks him, he will do what doesn’t entirely go against his beliefs. More than anything, Axel craves the strength to break free from his father, whether he finds somewhere in Hell or in some other place to get away.
Birth & Infancy: For the longest time, Lucifer maintained his throne in Hell without heirs, without anyone. For him it was even a challenge to allow in lords and higher up demons. He wanted it all to himself. After year upon year in Hell serving The Maker as the perfect, good little son, he wanted something that was his. He became consumed with it. His newly turned demonic nature only made it all the more worse. It became his number one pursuit, no matter how he had to step on to get there. Thousands of years past, and though he had evolved policies to allow in things such as lords and dukes, he had never been willing to have an heir, to risk giving up his throne or losing it to anyone. Because having a child meant having someone to take his place. Yet, those lords he had let in became hungry for power, so much so they were willing to take it from him. It became apparent that if he were to somehow fall, the power would fall to those lords. He knew there was only one way to truly assert his rule.
Instead of risking finding a demon with an agenda in mind, he found a human woman. She was in her twenties. As soon as he showed her the subtlest hint of his powers, she was enamored. He took her back to hell and made her his bride. He held no love for her, for he was the devil, and his ability to love had ended and begun with himself. Her constant preening and fawning stroked his ego, and that he did like. He got her pregnant only two weeks after they wed, with his first heir, a son. When the boy was born, he named him Axel and intended to mold him in his image. Axel was born a full blooded demon, and it wasn’t even apparent one of his parents was a human.
Childhood:
Things did not go as planned. Lucifer had not accounted for his wife’s human nature interfering. The most he had feared was that it may make his children half-breeds. But luckily that had not been the case. However, with Amaya’s heavy involvement, she showed Axel things like love, and goodness. Axel grew up knowing what it was to be compassionate, and kind hearted. Even though his father was always trying to teach him how to be cutthroat and malicious, it never stuck. It never took as Lucifer intended it to, because love he had been shown was stronger. Axel had always been extremely close to his mother. From childhood, he clung to her. He didn’t openly say it, but she was his favorite parent.
Most of his early years were spent in a tug of war between his mother and father. With his father trying to show him to kill, to be cold and learn to rule just as he did. His father had expected him to be clay or putty to be molded and shaped exactly as he was. And his mother had taught him things like honesty, and trust, and kindness. She wanted him to be human. Axel always felt caught in the middle. When he wasn’t doing as his mother wanted, he felt guilty for letting her down, and when he wasn’t doing what his dad wanted, he felt the same guilt, but also felt fear because he knew what came with letting his father down.
The pressure only eased up when Jacob was born. With that however, new pressures and difficulties were born. Axel was no longer stuck between his mother and father as the rope in the tug of war. No, this time his mother was expecting him to help her try to pull his brother in her direction, and his father was fighting tooth and nail to make Jacob into him. Axel was not even allowed to see his brother if he had visited his mother recently, as she was banned from seeing her son. And Lucifer made a constant point of reminding Axel that Jacob was the son he’d wanted, not him.
When Axel was eight, his mother left. She’d just had his little brother Blake when she took off into the night. After all the years of being close with her, he had always assumed that if she left, he’d take him with her. But she didn’t. He was heartbroken by this, and it was the first time he learned to become more shut off from the world in order to protect himself.
Teen Years: Life for Axel as a teenager was just coasting through. He mostly spent time dodging his father who was constantly in some sort of rage. Whether it be because the lords were out of line, or because the prophecy was beginning to come to pass and he couldn’t find a way to stop it no matter how hard he tried to plot and plan. Axel always found his father had a reason for being in a rage, for taking out his anger on him especially. He often took pleasure in blaming Axel for his mother leaving, a fact Axel already wondered himself.
He was taught the things an heir was supposed to be taught, just a hint of his father’s denial that someone who wasn’t part of his bloodline would take over. But he was never taught like Jacob was. No, Jacob was his father’s very pride and joy. Axel might have gotten the backbone, but his brother was taught every in and out. It only furthered his rejection, the feeling that he didn’t seem to belong anywhere at all. Half the time he felt like a wraith, existing in both worlds but having no true ties to either.
Most of his time was spent holed up in the more remote parts of Hell, getting to know those long forgotten by his father. He didn’t fit in with them entirely, but they too had been abandoned by the person they’d put their faith in. It was the closest he ever got to feeling a true kinship with anyone, the closest he got to having a family.
Adult Years: Things were rather chaotic in his early twenties. He was convinced that his father was truly going mad. In fact, he was sure that his father might end up losing his mind entirely. Axel had always been concerned about the mindset of his father, but he’d never seen him quite like this, so entirely insane and paranoid. It was right before they found Blake when Axel decided to press his father in exactly the wrong way.
He had been speaking to some of the people he’d grown closer to in the more remote regions of Hell and they’d been speaking of how Lucifer was planned to sell the land to one of the lords, and let all of them be enslaved. Not wanting that to happen, he confronted his father, tried to convince him to leave the land alone and bring the demons into the fold. His father lost it and beat him for the first time. Axel had grown very used to being rejected by the man, but this was entirely new.
After going back to his room, he swore to himself he’d leave. He had intentions to go gather those people and bring them somewhere else, to earth. He wasn’t going to rot there any longer, and he didn’t want them to either. He had a bag and everything, with every intention to leave. When it was the dead of night, and everything was quiet, he made his way into the halls. And in a split second, it all became chaos.
He was hurried off to a quiet room. For an hour, he was left in the dark until finally his father came to him to announce that Blake had been found, he was home. Axel couldn’t believe it at first, he’d always thought that his brother would be gone for good. But he also knew that someone raised by his mother would be soft, and he could not stomach Hell alone, so he made the decision to stay, leaving the people who’d become his family on their own to save Blake.
Years later, his father had pinpointed the location of the sisters. The shield that had been protecting them from being tracked had let up. He debated trying to go and wipe them out, but knew the means of doing so would be near impossible to find. So instead he hatched a new plan, have one of his sons seduce Delilah, the heir to Hell and trick her into wedding them, and then taking over control from there. At first, much to Axel’s surprise because of their tenuous relations, Lucifer asked him. Axel rejected the idea. And it was quickly passed down to Jacob. With that, the three brothers were sent to Falls Church.
Name: Celia Killip. Nicknames: Ceelie, Lia. Age: 18. Birthday: DD/MM/2002 Star Sign: UTA. Place of Birth: Baltimore, Maryland. Current Town: Falls Church, Virginia. Sexuality: UTA. Marital Status: Single. Species: Fae. Occupation: UTA. Education: High School. Faceclaim: Lili Reinhart.
Personality: Rather quirky, kind of more to herself. Not shy but also an obvious introvert. Kind hearted, rather naive and easily manipulated. (To be expanded upon by the person who plays her).
Biography: Celia wasn’t the result of a brief love affair, unlike her sister Elody. While her father and Elody’s mother had tried to make a go of it they both knew that they weren’t suited for each other and just did the best they could to try and be there for Elody. Celia’s father ended up meeting another fae and they ended up in a relationship. Soon, Celia came along. Things started to go downhill after that. Celia’s mother wasn’t really good at the parenting thing, and she got stressed out having to look after Celia. She wasn’t fit to be a mother, she often said. So she ended up leaving. Celia’s father was heartbroken, and he did his best to balance the life of a single father. It wasn’t easy for him, but he sort of got the hang of it. There was a system and for the first five years or so of her life Celia was well cared for and loved. Something rather horrid happened. Hunters. There were a few everywhere, people who learned about the supernatural. Some could be reasoned with, others believed that any supernatural was the route of all evil. And because of this, more than often they’d kill everything they found. Even a soft species like a fae. They came into her home and her father quickly tucked her into the closet. He sealed a magic circle around her so they would find her and went to face them. She watched as they killed him in cold blood. They were particularly brutal. She could remember the way that her father’s blood seeped across the floor and onto her shoes. He’d told her to stay in the closet, and so she stayed there for three days before she was found. It ended up being by Elody’s mother. She promised that things would be okay and that she wouldn’t end up alone. Despite the fact that things hadn’t worked out, she held no ill will against Celia’s father and decided to take her in. For two years, things were good. Celia had nightmares nonstop, but she was alive at least. And when she’d wake up crying for her father Elody was there. She’d tell her that they had each other, and that everything was going to be okay. When Celia was seven, Elody’s mother was killed by the same hunters who got her father. Celia didn’t watch this, but Elody did. She figured that there was a chance that the hunters were tracking Celia and not the other supernaturals. So she decided that they would leave. Even though they were both rather young she knew that she had to keep them safe. So they went on something of a run, skipping town whenever the small community of supernatural’s they kept tabs on started going missing. They ran from the hunters often and frequently. Celia craved nothing more than normalcy, but she was often so guarded and shielded from things she didn’t really get a taste of it. She didn’t make many friends, didn’t really have the chance to leave an impression of people or vice versa. She didn’t even get to know the other supernaturals around her. More than often it was just her and Elody, something that made her realize just how lonely she felt. Things came to ahead when she was around fifteen, the hunters that had stalked them caught up with them. They found Celia in her school and waited. After school they simply nabbed her and decided to use her as a bait to try and get Elody out as well. So she spent a horrid time captured by them. They didn’t torture her, though she took a few hits for trying to speak. They were truly convinced she was the heights of evil. Eventually she just prayed Elody wouldn’t walk into the trap. She did though. Things got nasty fast. Elody was smart and fast but things were getting rough. Finally, something deep inside Celia snapped. A strong power that washed over the whole room. It even knocked her unconscious. She ended up coming around to find both hunters dead. Elody explained to her that she must have somehow harnessed a darker magic and told her she must never do it again. Because it was finally all over, they went back to Falls Church and they finally had the chance to start over again. Celia finally got the chance to make friends and start to learn about the people around her. She felt happy, but she was always scared she’d simply end up having to move again somehow. At seventeen, she started to learn more about her powers, and a small part of her desperately wanted to call on that dark magic again. The more she studied it, the more she desperately wanted to use it. It came to the point where she started using small dark magic fae spells - a secret she keeps from even Elody.
Name: Emberly Hastens. Nicknames: Ember. Physical Age: 24. Biological Age: 2001. Birthday: DD/MM/18. Star Sign: UTA. Place of Birth: N/A. Current Town: Falls Church. Sexuality: UTA. Marital Status: Single. Species: Death God. Occupation: UTA. Education: UTA. Faceclaim: Willa Fitzgerald.
Personality: The only way to describe Emberly is as the wild card of the Hastens clan. She’s probably one of the hardest to pin down. While her other siblings all shared similar traits and at least seemed to have semi-put together lives she was always the one who just lived in the moment and relished in chaos. She did everything she could, and anything. Often going to school on a whim and picking up a new career over the centuries. She isn’t exactly selfish, but she never felt the need to tote around her immortality as some cage and instead chose to live it up. Emberly does prefer to follow her own desires, even if it costs someone else hurt feelings. She is blunt, and can be rather manipulative when she wants to be. Prone to chaos and the desire for drama in a boring eternal life she’s been known to start wars and rumors on will alone. Ember is rather perceptive of other people and can pick out those who will serve her best but often overlooks them as important to her narrative. Despite this she always did care about her family, even if she mostly only went to them over the centuries when she was in trouble. She was one of the few siblings who openly protested Brett’s marriage to Adelya, and therefore was banned from the children’s lives. Emberly has a rather strong personality that can often switch from one extreme to the next. She’s someone people either love or hate. There isn’t often a middle ground with her, except for within her own family. Like most of the Hastens clan, she has an infamous temper and doesn’t bother keeping a leash on it. She makes her decisions on a whim and rarely ever owns the consequences of them. (Open to be extended upon by the person who plays her)
Biography: Emberly was the youngest of the large Hastens family. Her parents had pretty much seen the end of raising children by the time she came around. Sure, she was still loved, but her parents left it up to their older children to look after the younger ones. She wasn’t neglected by her siblings, but they didn’t necessarily teach her the values of struggle. She was young and cute so they spoiled her, swore she’d never go through any hardships like they had to. They weren’t dirt poor, but in those times they might as well have been. Things they consumed were things they harvested or killed themselves, and their house had been built by their own hands. In the winters, sometimes they were hungrier but Emberly was always given the least of the suffering. Emberly always wished herself outside of the life she lived, she wanted to get out. While her siblings stuck around out of obligation to family, she was always thinking about simply leaving. She loved her family, but she didn’t want to stay in a town that was so dead and boring. She craved something that her family didn’t offer her, adventure and freedom. Emberly had big plans, and she was sure she could make them happen. Years passed and she didn’t find her way out, she was trying to make plans but there were so little opportunities. Then she turned twenty five and a plague of sorts swept through her village. It picked off many members, getting sick with a mysterious ailment. However, aside from her parents she and her siblings were unmarked. They barely had the chance to bury their parents before they were taken by Torryn. At first they were all confused by who he was and what he wanted but them. He wasn’t exactly skilled in tact when it came to his explanation. He informed them he swept that plague through their village and many others in hopes of finding a family strong enough to come out unmarred. He hadn’t so far. He didn’t need weaklings in his experiment. They thought he was a mad man, the same way they did all those who’d swept through and claimed to be men of magic. He gave a few quick demonstrations without bothering to further placate them. Emberly was told he was looking for his replacement of sorts, someone who could take his job from him. He was old and tired of the weight he carried, it was time to purge his powers and pass them onto someone else. Thus he had come up with a way to form them into a creature strong enough to hold the power. Essentially, they were combinations of all species. All but none at once, it was the closest he could get them to becoming as he was. He turned them all. It was a painful process. Emberly remembered what felt like centuries of agony through the process. Finally, she woke up to find she was the last of the siblings to come about. Emberly didn’t understand her new body or new powers, but Torryn taught and guided them all. She ended up becoming infatuated with Torryn, they became something of lovers. However, it didn’t last long. Not when after a century of training Torryn chose Brett over her to take the torch. It wasn’t something she wanted, but when he told her she couldn’t handle it she was furious and flocked away from both him and the rest of her siblings. She spent centuries living it up, creating chaos where she wanted, adventuring to every corner of the earth she sought to. Oftentimes, when she’d find herself in trouble she’d turn to some of her other siblings. At first it was anyone but Brett, but soon old wounds mended and he too would be a crutch for her when she stirred up problems. She was in Italy when she heard that Brett was in love and getting married. Honestly she couldn’t believe it, and she hated Adelya the moment she met her. She didn’t shy away from telling Brett how she felt and Adelya found out and ordered she never be allowed around the children. Furious when Brett chose Adelya over her, she found herself once again spurning him. However, the first time he left and showed up at her door she took him in. Of course he went back to her, which made her hate him all over again. This went on for the duration of his relationship with Adelya. Surprisingly however when they finally split up, Brett fell off the map instead of going to her. After a few years of trying to find him she ended up deciding to go to the root of where his life had been based, Falls Church, Virginia. She thought there was a possibility she’d get clues from his children or find Zander.
Name: Jacob Alarik Love. Nicknames: Jake. Age: 24. Birthday: DD/MM/1993 Star Sign: UTA. Place of Birth: Hell. Current Town: Hell. Sexuality: Heterosexual. Marital Status: Single. Species: Demon. Occupation: N/A. Education: N/A. Faceclaim: Cody Christian.
Personality: Very dark, evil and malicious. His darkness and sadistic nature are not for simple choice but because he was raised to not acknowledge any other way of behaving. He’s got no real concept of emotion, so when he does feel emotions he often ends up frustrated with him. Though he does tend to feel things like amusement, and anger, he was never given the chance to feel or acknowledge love. He prides himself on irritating others. He’s calculating, and perceptive, and knows what points to push in others. Though he can be rather impulsive and brash. A great deal of him has forced his mind to bury memories of killing people he loved, of watching them die. It was always a way to hide the thoughts of love from himself, and to disguise the trauma. Sometimes though, he has vivid dreams of those who died, memories of loving them, and then memories of washing his hands of their blood. He still doesn’t register that these dreams are memories.
Biography: Jacob was the second born son of Amaya and Lucifer. His father had become determined after Axel that he would have a second son, one who was more than capable of handling his throne in his image. He knew Axel was far too soft, holding too much of his mother’s heart. He knew it was too late for him to change, so he decided that a new son was the best way about it. After all, any great King had enough heirs to fuel his kingdom. He was still in denial about the prophecy. No one would come along and take his throne from him. So he had a plan and an idea set out for how he planned to keep this from happening again. He was thrilled when Amaya became pregnant and hovered for months, barely leaving her alone. Finally, when she gave birth he didn’t even let her hold the child for more than a minute before he snatched him away. He wouldn’t have Amaya near the child until he was already shaped. For the first few years, Jacob was forbidden to see his mother. Sometimes he couldn’t even see Axel if Axel was around his mother for an extended period of time. Lucifer was hard wiring the child into being just like him, if it was the last thing he did. Jacob wondered about his mother sometimes, but never voiced such opinions. He was an obedient soldier for his father. When his father said jump, he said how high. And more often than not instead of telling him to jump he told him to kill. From as early as five years old, Jacob was being brought to kill and mutilate. Some demons, some humans. As soon as Jacob grew close to someone, his father would kill them in front of him or make him watch them die. When he was being mothered by a nanny in his early years, he grew attached and eventually Lucifer forced him to kill her. Any friends he made, he was later made to kill and if he failed, he still had to watch them die. Sure, his father never physically laid a hand on him, but there was not one bit of arguing that his father emotionally terrorized him for years. He twisted and broke every bit of humanity he found in Jacob. It was a slow and excruciating process for Jacob. But soon enough it worked, and Jacob turned into something a great deal similar to his father. He wasn’t affected in the slightest when his mother left. He didn’t know her, and it was probably better that way. And even though he was not intended for taking the throne, Jacob studied all the books and scriptures. He learned how to be a king. His father was so far in denial about either having that prophecy dictate who was on the throne, or having a soft hearted weakingly on the throne, so he trained Jacob. He told Jacob that he was always his first choice, that if he had it his way it would be him one day seated on the throne. Lucifer told him he was investing in him, training him himself instead of having a tutor take care of him as he did Axel. As Jacob grew, he was more entitled. He wanted the throne. He was raised to believe it belonged to him, not some woman. Not even Axel. As Lucifer grew more paranoid and sank deeper into insanity and fear, Jacob was the first hand witness. He only grew angry. No person who was not a Love, let alone a woman would steal from him. More than often he begged his father to just go and kill the woman who was one day supposed to gain the throne. When his father finally approached him about going topside, he was elated and overjoyed. Finally he’d get to kill the woman. Then his father revealed that he was to seduce Delilah, the woman meant to take the throne. Jacob thought perhaps this was to weaken her guard. But he felt his first sense of betrayal when Lucifer said they would keep the throne because Jacob would wed Delilah, and take the throne that way. Jacob was curious, but when Lucifer jumped, he said how high. He went to earth with his other brothers.
Name: Jade Hastens. Nicknames: UTA. Age: 18. Birthday: DD/MM/2002. Star Sign: UTA. Place of Birth: Falls Church, Virginia. Current Town: Falls Church, Virginia. Sexuality: UTA. Marital Status: Single. Species: Death God. Occupation: Waitress. Education: High School. Faceclaim: Sabrina Carpenter.
Personality: Jade is the more balanced and logical of all the siblings. She’s good at setting her emotions aside and listening to every part of a story and deciding what needs to be done for situations. She’s a realist when it comes to things most times. However, sometimes her cynicism leads her to believe the worst of a situation or a person. She’s a true skeptic and always looks for a deeper motive and things. Trusting people has never been her strong suit. She dislikes both her parents but as for her siblings she’s very loyal. Her and Adeline occasionally butt heads because Jade is frequently pointing out how poorly they were all raised however. Jade can be a bit of a troublemaker, mostly because it was the only way she ever really got attention from her parents. They were always distant from her and even though she was in the home of her mother and on the road with her father she raised herself. However, she’s become far more tame in the last year simply because she realized that it wasn’t worth acting out for them. For most people, she makes a fairly quick judgement after meeting them once or twice. And despite her lack of trust for people she’s still rather friendly, she just knows when to keep people at a true distance. Jade is rather stubbornly independent. She’s always hated taking handouts and accepting help for people. She’s grown used to relying on herself, her intelligence and general savvy to get through situations that she doesn’t like to accept the help of others. Whether it comes from living off the income that her father and mother have tucked away into her account or whether it comes from being in a situation and asking her siblings for help. She makes a habit of relying on herself and only herself. (Can be expanded by future player)
Biography: Brett leaving and returning to the house was a common thing for the Hastens sibling. They never really knew when he was going to leave or come back. Sometimes there were really big fights, sometimes it was hard to tell one fight from another. By the time most of the siblings could figure things out, the couple was fighting all the time. It took a few years for Brett to stop coming back for Adelya and for the marriage to finally end but eventually it did. No matter how long it took. Some of the children were grateful for it. It meant they didn’t have to deal with the screaming matches down the hallways or the ways sometimes in rage the couple would destroy entire rooms of a house. Others grieved their childhood and had secretly been hoping one day they’d finally work things out. Most knew that such dreams were foolish and that things between the couple would never settle down. Every time they would find each other again things would be good for a few simple days, and then rather quickly it would all change. It was like fire and oil. They’d always blow up, even if it took a minute. Jade wasn’t one of the children who got the chance to adjust to this thing. She was born in a whirlwind. After the divorce happened and some of the children simply just disappeared, unable to deal with everything or perhaps just trying to distance themselves from it. Some stayed, some took sides. It was a rather messy situation for everyone. Despite the divorce, Brett would come back every few months or even years for the kids. He’d see Adeline mostly, and sometimes the twins for the pure fact he was working protection rituals to try and guard them from those who would harm them. However, every now and then he’d see Adelya. More than often it was to pick a fight. Sometimes they’d fight and they’d do what they always did, run off to their various little sanctuaries and sulk to whichever of the children would listen. Other times they had sex. It was hard to tell how it’d all end. Most of the remaining kids knew well enough to vacate the premises though. It was like being around a natural disaster. During one of these fights that led to sex, Jade was created. Brett never even knew Adelya was pregnant, he’d already left before he could find out. Adelya popped out another kid and pawned it off on one of the others to raise, something relatively simple to her. She wasn’t one to take responsibility for her actions, so she had Adeline do it for her. Adeline doted on Jade, by then she’d already lost her daughter and was all too eager to look for a replacement. Jade was given extra attention from Adeline, more than most were. However sometimes it caused scuffles as Jade grew up. She didn’t like that she was more shielded than her siblings. She didn’t like that Adeline’s constant interference meant Adelya barely even had to look at her. She blamed a lot of people for the fact she didn’t get seen by her real parents, and Adeline was one of them. She lashed out and often. She took advantage of her enrollment in a human school to cause mayhem. She barely lifted a finger most times magic wise. Her teachers despised her bad attitude and Adeline was constantly lecturing her about getting into trouble. After she almost burned the school down during a prank gone wrong, her sister quickly covered for her and that’s when Brett finally came back. He decided to take Jade for a while. Jade thought maybe she’d finally get to see her dad. It was exciting. The first few days were great, but soon she realized she’d signed up for a lot of alone time in big empty houses. She barely saw her father, and was bounced back and forth out of different schools. She was never there long enough to make friends and had this big secret looming over her either way. Her dad had been gone for almost a month and she couldn’t take being alone anymore so she ended up calling Adeline to come get her. They’d had a big fight before she’d left but the minute she’d called Adeline didn’t ask any questions, she just went to get her. And so she went home. The troublemaking still kept up, but she slowly started to realize she didn’t need her parents attention, she realized it wasn’t about her to some degree. While sometimes she still felt insecure and even defective, she could logically tell herself it wasn’t her fault, she just happened to have two very selfish parents. She graduated high school. Her grades weren’t exactly perfect, but she passed. Jade could have gone to university but decided she didn’t want to go on the dollar of her father and mother simply because it felt like dirty money, a bribe to make up for the fact she’d been raised by Adeline and herself. So she moved out instead. Adeline didn’t put up a huge fuss, she was busy with her own children anyway. Jade got a small apartment and worked as a waitress, mostly just trying to make her way in life without relying on her family.
Name: Julian Adello. Nicknames: UTA. Physical Age: 26. Biological Age: 33. Birthday: DD/MM/1987. Star Sign: UTA. Place of Birth: Lorain, Ohio. Current Town: Falls Church, Virginia. Sexuality: Heterosexual. Marital Status: Single. Species: Vampire. Occupation: Lawyer. Education: Highschool, Law School. Faceclaim: Chace Crawford.
Personality: Julian comes off as a fairly easy going and laidback guy. He’s always been the type who is charming and gets along with pretty much everyone at first jump. This laid back demeanor often distracts people from the fact that he’s intelligent, perceptive and has a mind like a hawk. He is quick to identify weaknesses and knows how to quickly and effectively neutralize someone. He’s very good at morphing and acting a certain way that he wouldn’t usually act if it’ll let people knock down their walls. It’s one of the things that makes him such an excellent lawyer. He identifies things in people that sometimes they don’t even recognize and uses them. It also made him a very skilled hunter. Julian is a very determined guy, and while he’s more open to changing his mind on things he can still be fairly headstrong and stubborn. Sometimes when he sets his mind on something it’s hard for him to be talked out of such things. Including personal missions and vendettas. He’d do anything if it meant protecting his daughter Rose though, no matter the cost to himself and others.
Biography: Julian’s life started off fairly mundane. It was run of the mill, nothing special ever really happened to him. His parents were middle class. They made enough to live comfortably. They weren’t broke nor were they overly rich but he never really struggled for such things as money. His parents weren’t exciting either, working regular nine to five jobs and having a fairly normal relationship. Honestly, his life was just one big flatline for the first ten years of his life. He went to school, joined sports teams and was raised like any normal kid was. Then shortly after he turned ten things changed. People started turning up dead. Animal attacks they would say. Mauled by something wild. They suspected a mountain lion, or a bear maybe. He didn’t hear a whole lot about it, just saw some news articles and saw some of his classmates absent from his class because one of their parents or family had fallen victim to one of these attacks. As they grew worse the town started imposing a curfew to try and save some lives and at first it seemed to be working. But things quickly grew bad again. One night Julian had been staying at his friends house but had gotten sick so his parents came for him. His parents had gotten out of the car after retrieving him when a woman came out of nowhere. She bit their necks and clawed them up a fair bit. Julian watched it all happen from the car in horror. He knew well enough to try hiding though. Perhaps the woman saw him, he wasn’t sure. But he survived the night. People often told him that he was traumatized, or he’d imagined things to make sense of what he’d seen. They said losing his parents had been so hard that he had to put it into terms he understood. Julian knew the truth. Julian went into the system and started learning some hard lessons of life. Three months after it happened, some hunters came into town and decided to interview him about what he saw. One took pity and told him everything he experienced was very real, and that he should move on with his life. Julian had learned the truth and decided he didn’t want to move on. He wanted to get revenge. So as he got older he trained and got stronger. By the time he had aged out of the foster system he was a full blown hunter, doing just what he had vowed to do and avenge the deaths of his parents. Despite this he tried to make time for a normal life. Being a hunter wasn’t very lucrative so he went to school. It was a struggle balancing both but he managed to get through pre-law, law school and such. He even had a daughter but the woman he was with decided she simply wasn’t cut out to be a mother and wasn’t able to cope with it even if it meant staying with Julian. It left him and Rose alone. She became the center of his world, and even more passionate about destroying the evil that could harm her. One hunt went so utterly wrong though when he ran into a vampire. At first it seemed like a run of the mill hunt. Vampires were his specialty of course. But this vampire was old and strong. She ended up overpowering and instead of killing him, she turned him. He woke up confused and scared, going to a hunter friend. His hunter friend in turn tried to kill him. However, Julian fought him off and made his first kill. He ended up finishing his transition into a vampire when he died. Julian started to slowly realize that not all supernatural creatures were bad. He met other vampires, ones who taught him a more peaceful way of living, and then with them there were even more creatures. His vendetta came directed only at the woman who’d turned him and her family, who he was sure was just as monstrous as he was. So he returned to Falls Church with his daughter, getting a job in the public defender’s office. It was in this town he met his first target, Esme Hastens. He didn’t quite realize what he was in for. What he thought was a family of vampires was nowhere near it. He was at a loss, and he decided to attempt getting to know her in hopes that maybe she’d reveal a weakness. Of course in doing so, he fell in love with her. They got together and he brushed his vendetta aside. He was more than happy to live the rest of his life with her. His daughter got along with hers. When he proposed, she turned him down and admitted it wasn’t what she wanted, leaving him rather alone and unsure of what to do with himself. Though he quickly decided that perhaps taking on his old idea of revenge might be a good idea and finally take down Adelya.
Name: Karina Jefferies. Nicknames: (UTA). Age: 19. Birthday: DD/MM/2001 Star Sign: UTA. Place of Birth: Hell. Current Town: Falls Church, Virginia. Sexuality: UTA. Marital Status: Single. Species: Half-Demon. Occupation: UTA. Education: UTA. Faceclaim: Lucy Hale.
Personality: Definitely has a temper issue and prone nature to lash out. She is rather calculated and intelligent. Karina is definitely someone who has got extensive trust issues and has a hard time holding loyalty to anyone. (To be extended upon by the person who plays her).
Biography: Karina was the first born daughter of Lucifer and the last born daughter of Lucifer. After Amaya had left, Lucifer began to doubt the ability of either Axel or Jacob to take over the throne. He thought that perhaps they might have too much of their mother in them and decided his mistake was picking a human that was pliable. He decided that Amaya had been weak and that he needed a stronger one. A demon was unsuitable, they’d all try to earn power from it. So he went back to earth and searched for someone who was cold, but not chaotic. He wanted his children to share his traits, not to be sloppy and impulsive. Finally he found a woman. She was a serial killer on death row. It was easy enough to convince her to come with him. Not too easy, but after telling her that he could save her life. After months of seducing her, he finally bedded her and got her pregnant. And thus Karina was created. Her mother detested every moment of carrying her. Lucifer feared her running so he brought her back to hell for his child to be born. He desperately hoped for a son. And then Karina was born. There was a great deal of rage when he discovered he had a daughter and not a son. In his rage he killed Karina’s mother and quickly decided to do a way with Karina. Luckily for the young girl, a demon servant took pity on her and swept her away before she could be killed. They brought her topside and put her into the foster care system. The plan was rather half thought as they didn’t even bother to lock Karina’s powers. Karina was just thrust into the system by a demon who thought she was doing something ‘good.’ Karina’s first home was well enough. She wasn’t undergoing neglect or abuse from the beginning. She was looked after as best as anyone could have been asked to be. But of course, then she was small and little and the powers she held within her had yet to develop. When she got to the age of five, her second foster home decided to send her off to a new home to live when they noticed her temper and will. That was the beginning. At first she just fell into homes that were quick to pass her off onto the next. By the time she was seven she had been in ten different homes. They all just said that she was a difficult person and hard to cooperate with. Eventually they put her in a foster home known for churning out results of well mannered young people. Behind closed doors however the means that kept them in line weren’t just love and affection. A lot of abuse happened behind those doors. And Karina, being young, confused, rejected and angry lashed out the worst of them all. Her propensity for chaos and stubborn behavior made her the target of plenty of abuse. Meals were withheld, hits were delved out and there wasn’t a bad word about her foster parents that made the social worker believe her. She stayed there for two years before an affair split the couple she’d been staying with up. She was glad to get out. At first she got a brief break with some relatively quiet foster parents. But eventually her bad grades in school and the frequent visits to the principal’s office had them sending her back as well. The next home was the one where her powers broke out. She was around the right age and beginning to hit puberty. At first the home wasn’t so bad, it didn’t seem at least. It soon became apparent that they preferred the option of emotional terror over physical. As her powers started to grow inside of her she got more rambunctious. It wasn’t as if all demon children were all vulnerable to becoming horrid creatures when left to their own devices. But Karina had a great deal of powers coming from her father and those powers made her a ticking time bomb. As did her situation. Finally, it came to ahead when her foster father was calling her down to the dirt over an incident at school. She had been perfectly justified in punching a boy on the playground area for attempting to do something to her that she hadn’t wanted but he told her she caused a spectacle and it fell on him. She was so angry that when he grabbed her to put her in the basement where they often went to get ‘isolated’, she burst and burned his hand without even touching him. She went back a week later. He was convinced she was a freak of nature. The events kept happening. When she lost control of her mind, those powers came out like an avenging angel. She thought it was god, making up for the horror she’d endured. By the time she was fifteen she got moved into a new foster home. Her foster parent was a single male. He wasn’t the richest but he had a good record of taking even the worst of teenagers, something not a lot of people did. Within three months of living there, there’d been no incidents. Things had gone well. For once, she started to get comfortable. By five months, things grew weird. Her foster father acted more like a boyfriend. He took her to movies, to dinner, bought her all sorts of new outfits, let her stay up past the typical eleven o’clock bedtimes. It happened so slowly she didn’t really notice. One night he made a move on her. She didn’t like it, but she was worried if she didn’t he’d send her back. She’d heard the horror stories from other girls of what happened when they said no. It was her first time, but she knew it was better than the alternative. She wanted to be taken care of. It was tiring, committing herself to pleasing him. She couldn’t date, couldn’t go out with friends or be a normal teenager. One night she got asked out by someone she was attracted to. She didn’t want to say no. So she said yes and when she explained she was going out her foster father got more aggressive than usual. Every other time she had made sure she could take control of the situation but this time she couldn’t. He had the power. She was scared, genuinely and truly. Those powers that had been subdued for so long, tamed like she had been came to life. And just like that he went still on top of her. The coroner claimed cardiac arrest, and she swore she’d never tell what had happened so she just played the part of a sad daughter. She was put in another foster home and aged out of the system. It wasn’t exactly peaceful, she had nowhere to go but made her way, even if she lived on barely a penny. It was while she was working as a waitress when a demon woman walked in and quickly fingered her as one of their kind. Karina hadn’t the sweetest of clues on what was being sad to her. But she had learned not to question things right away, but to listen long enough to learn something from it. It made sense, all those weird power happenings. So after that woman she taught herself some things. She started consuming all information she could on it. She learned how to use her powers and owned them. Karina was nineteen when she learned the truth of herself. She learned a powerful scrying spell that helped her see the events that unfolded at her birth. She was not just any demon, she was Lucifer’s daughter. Karina was furious at him for what he had done, for killing her mother, who albeit was as vile as he was, for ordering that she herself was murdered. So she sought what most did, revenge. And after learning she had three brothers and a certain prophecy she knew the best way to do it. She bided her time and eventually found herself in Falls Church, Virginia.
Name: Matthew Hastens. Nicknames: Matt. Physical Age: 26. Biological Age: 28. Birthday: DD/MM/1992 Star Sign: UTA. Place of Birth: Falls Church, Virginia. Current Town: Falls Church, Virginia. Sexuality: UTA. Marital Status: Widowed. Species: Death God. Occupation: UTA. Education: High School. Faceclaim: Sebastian Stan.
Personality: Once, Matt was a fairly happy and normal person. He wasn’t overly affected by the divorce and fighting of his parents. Sure, it made him strive for things like a home without such drama, but he didn’t find himself traumatized or experiencing trust and abandonment issues. He was just Joe normal really. Without powers he didn’t feel an inflated sense of self so he carried on business like most humans did. However, after the death of his wife, Matt’s become broody, rather quiet and sitting on the sidelines. He doesn’t go out of his way to meet new people or befriend them for the simple fact he feels as if perhaps they’ll end up hurt because of him and his secret. Matt feels a rather intense amount of guilt for what happened to his wife and he keeps it quiet as he feels he doesn’t deserve a reprieve and has to carry it all on his own. Despite his rather sullen nature, he still tries to some degree to look and act like himself as he doesn’t want those around him to know the truth of what happened. Matt struggles a great deal with general depression, even motivation and function. He’s united by one mission that keeps him going, and that’s finding his father so he can bring back his wife. It’s usually what gets him up in the morning. Matt feels a very protective nature over his family but doesn’t believe they have to stay together at all costs and he isn’t scared to admit some of his siblings are just as much a part of the toxicity as his parents. He has the very well known Hastens temper.
Biography: Matt was one of the middle children of the Hastens family. He wasn’t the first, wasn’t the first boy and he simply ended up falling in the state of fairly unimportant. He didn’t have some special curse or power like his younger twin sisters. So at the end of the day when it came down to his already neglectful parents he didn’t exactly fall in the rush of importance. He was just another child. Just like the others, Adeline did a great deal of taking care of him. She was the reason that he was taken care of by the time he was three and his childhood cuteness had worn off when it became stubborn and brazen. However, when it came to even her, he wasn’t the center of attention. Unlike any of his other siblings, he wasn’t showing an obvious sign of powers. He still got a little weak and sluggish if he didn’t get blood on a semi-regular basis but usually he was just a relatively normal sort of person. Because of that he didn’t get the one on one training from his parents or even help from Adeline on controlling his gifts. He simply ended up fading into the background. Sure, he had his brief moments of attention seeking in school like most of the siblings did, but in the end he turned out relatively normal. The only affect his family truly had was the fact he vowed that his family wouldn’t be like that, that his children would never grow up as he did. He vowed that he would get out of the town and be different then them. It fueled him to do better and try harder for everything. He graduated high school with first class honors and got a full ride to a school out of state. So he left. He didn’t really look back or turn around. He was eager to leave behind that life, even if it meant leaving his siblings too. Matt got to live fairly normally, without powers. He simply ended up going to school, experiencing things as most did. Aside from his blood drinking, he was all too content to pretend that he was just like anyone else in his school. He made a point of ignoring what he was, part of why his powers might have taken so long to manifest. During his second year of college, he had sort of become something of a player and ran headfirst into Danielle. She was a headstrong woman, someone who had come from a rather poor background and she had no time for his antics. She wanted to study and become a lawyer. She was quick to call him out on the fact that he lived a privileged life where he didn’t have to worry about money so he could waste his time in university. He knew she was right and so he started cleaning up his act. She still wouldn’t give him the time of day. Finally, after several months he finally convinced her to go on a date with him. It was kind of a disaster, nothing he had planned went right. But at the end of the night they shared a kiss. She ended up going inside and he barely saw her after. Eventually he found her on the quad packing boxes of things. She confessed that she couldn’t afford her tuition and that she had to go work for a while before she came back. Matthew thought there was something entirely unfair about it, so he went to the office and paid the full program she’d enrolled in. He didn’t let anyone find out, he just simply said it was in the name of a university scholarship. He didn’t pester her much anymore because he didn’t want the action to be selfish. Eventually she came to him to cover for her in class because she had something to do. So he went to her class and took notes for her. When she came back from where she’d gone she was sullen. Finally she admitted that her mother had suffered from depression, which furthered into postpartum depression after she was born. When she was five her mother committed suicide and she ended up finding the body. Matt did what he could to help her and they grew closer. He started cleaning up his act more significantly, including taking his classes seriously so he could graduate. They began dating. Things weren’t easy, Danielle suffered from depression like her mother, so Matt was often just doing his best to help her survive the bouts of it. He just wanted her to be okay, and he was willing to give everything to make sure she was. Because he hadn’t shown powers, he decided that he wasn’t going to tell her what he was, hoping that maybe he could just be normal. Eventually, they got married. Things seemed perfect. They both had good careers and while Danielle still struggled she was doing better than ever with some new medication and other factors. Even when Matt’s powers came to the light, he managed to keep them under tabs well enough. Two years later, things started going downhill. Where they’d been going great, Danielle could barely move from bed. She wouldn’t eat, slept restlessly and just became a shell of who she was. She eventually asked him if she could finally meet his family. Somehow it seemed important, but he hadn’t told them about her. She didn’t even know what he was. He told her that they couldn’t. Two weeks later she committed suicide. He came home from work and she was in the bathtub, her wrists had been slit. He tried to revive her, spent an hour desperately using powers he had no clue how to use. It came to the point where he had physically exhausted himself. He called the emergency line and the ambulance tried to revive her as well. There was no point. The light of his life was gone. The autopsy soon revealed she had been pregnant. A month later he nearly drank himself into a coma. He had quit his job, given up on life. The only consistency was calling his father almost every day to try and bring her back. Then he found the suicide note that explain that she had learned she was pregnant and could feel herself getting more and more depressed. She was scared she’d turn out like her mother and knew taking her own life was better than failing her child. Matt blamed himself. Both for not recognizing the signs and not protecting her better. He should have been more careful. Eventually, he used a locating spell to attempt finding his father. Instead it led him to Torryn, who’d only just met his sister Adeline. Matt ended up telling him he needed to find his father and Torryn eventually asked why. When Matt told him Torryn was shocked that Matt had gotten a human pregnant and explained that the pregnancy might have very well caused her worsening depression and suicide. Matt was even more crushed, but when Torryn made a comment about his family and stupidity going together like peas in a pod, he had to know why. Torryn explained that Adeline was refusing her powers to such an extent that it might very well kill her. That was when Matt decided to go home to try and help his elder sister. He decided he wouldn’t tell her of his wife. He wouldn’t tell any of them what had happened while away.

Name: Rhydian-James Foster. Nicknames: Rhys. Biological Age: 18.. Real Age: 18. Birthday: DD/MM/2002. Star Sign: UTA. Place of Birth: Breckenridge, Colorado. Current Town: Falls Church, Virginia. Sexuality: Heterosexual. Marital Status: Single. Species: Human. Occupation: UTA. Education: Incomplete High School. Faceclaim: Thomas Doherty.
Personality: Rhys is a rather outgoing and charming person. He’s bubbly and quick to make friends. He’s known as one of those people who gets along with everybody around him. It’s hard to dislike Rhys, especially when he tries so hard to be kind to others, even extending a hand to those who other popular kids might consider lame. Rhys is laid back, easy to get along with and doesn’t really like making enemies. He tries to avoid conflict. Whether that’s delegating more peaceful solutions or if it’s just avoiding situations that cause conflict. Overall, he holds himself to a high moral standard, which is the result of what happened in his previous school. Because he wasn’t always the type to stick up for the little guy, he’s made a habit of ensuring his behavior is stellar. He mentally shames and punishes himself if he dares step out of line. No person truly busts his case like he does his own. He agonizes and stresses over the little things he does, if they’re unkind or could hurt someone.
Biography: Rhys was the miracle child. His parents had been told in their early twenties that they’d never have children. For as long as they would try, there was no doctor or treatment that could bring the couple a baby of their own blood. They had given up on having one ever. They thought that if the rounds of treatments had not worked or the frequent doctors visits, they should just end their attempts and adopt. It was better than the agonizing attempts for a baby. All those doctor visits and negative attempts had crushed their morale. So they adopted a baby girl who’d been abandoned by her parents at birth. At first she was just a foster but in the end they couldn’t give the girl up and kept her. Only three years after the adoption was finalized, Rhys was born. He was the miracle. He had been sent by angels, or god. His parents worshipped the ground he walked on because of it, sometimes even favoring him over his sister. He was raised spoiled rotten, given everything and anything he wanted. He became entitled and bratty. If he didn’t get what he wanted he threw the biggest tantrums, throwing and hitting things. There wasn’t really anywhere he got discipline too. His parents were just too thankful he was there after so long of trying. So he never knew consequences in his life. In school, he was attractive and he had money. He got along well with the popular crowd and blended in with them rather well. In the city he came from, he was a king, at least in his own little world. Rhys was worshipped at school and there was no shortage of girlfriends for him to weave through. There was no end to shallow connections. In the way he’d been taught, he didn’t have a whole lot of respect for others. And in the end when it came to people trying to get initiated into the teams he was a part of, or even sink into the popular crowd he was practically the leader of the hazing. For him, he did always try to control it to some degree, but he also didn’t stop it when someone else organized hellish things for the pledges to endure. He was just there for the ride, thought that he himself had endured it so they should too. There was one pledge in particular. A geeky lanky kid who wanted in with the football team and appealed to them. They were particularly brutal on him. He took part in a great deal of the hazing, creating various schemes and pranks. He wasn’t the worst, but he participated and turned a blind eye when others did more cruel things. He didn’t notice how depressed the kid they were hazing was gotten. Like with everything else, mum was the word so he kept his mouth shut. When the kid finally killed himself and left a special blame in his note towards Rhys and his friend things changed rather quickly. Rhys could not live with the guilt of what had happened. Not well. His parents were quick to cover and said there was no possible way that he could have really stopped him, but Rhys knew the difference. Suddenly, all those years of being the king of his world did not matter. What mattered was that someone was dead and he’d done nothing to stop it. His friends said that they weren’t to blame, that the boy was just weak but Rhys knew what had happened, and he knew he could have stopped it. His parents grew worried about him. He became depressed, started skipping school. When he failed his twelfth grade, they realized how badly this had affected him. So they decided he needed a fresh start. They went to the town where his sister had been born and moved into a new large house on a more secluded street. The house was more of a fixer upper, but they had inherited plenty of land with their purchase. Rhys made a promise that he would change, that he could not fix things now but he would in this new school. So he became something kinder and more open. He advocated and stuck up for those being bullied and made sure no one felt alone enough to hurt themselves. It was a mission of his. He still participated in football and fell in with a more popular crowd, but it was all to ensure that he could protect those who needed it. Down the street he started taking notice of a particular blonde girl his age down the road. He didn’t get a lot out of her, but he couldn’t help but be interested in how mysteriously she carried herself.

Growing up Savannah didn't know much else outside the small family home in the country. She and Tessa were often kept on a tight leash and were often beaten of they stepped a toe out of line. They learned to obey and quickly. For Savannah she was the dark to her sisters light, her thoughts often consisted of bitter anger and the desire to harm those who wronged her.
At 13, the twins’ lives were changed forever. Darkness, shadows always seemed to follow them and it was then that they got stronger, darker. What Tessa never knew was that Savannah had a premonition that her parents had witnessed. It was small, she only saw one of their parents prized cows die after giving birth, but all the same they witnessed her powers at work. Her parents were not pleased that their efforts were not successful. That night after dinner, their father dragged them to the storm cellar and chained them up. He left them there for three days. It was the third day when a man broke in hoping to find food and money to steal. He came across the twins, and the girls startled accidentally used part of their powers, nearly suffocating him with their shadows. In his fear he called them devil's spawn and in his haste tried to stab them, but only leaving deep cuts. It was that night that they nearly died for the first time and the night that their powers were activated fully.
Following that fateful night, the girls were often taken to the basement to be whipped or starved. Savannah, with her sisters help, tried to stay optimistic, but it never truly worked. Instead she kept hearing voices in her head, more premonitions that would come to pass. Slowly it began to drive her insane, delirious and desperate for the voices to go away. It was in her madened state that she murdered her parents.
Tessa had been asleep in the far corner when her father came down to torture them again. Savannah had been muttering to herself as the voices whispers grew louder. Her father, angry, went after her first. Savannah while out of it, wasn’t completely gone. The next moments were a blur, but her father was dead. He had been mostly an accident, though she didn’t regret it, but her mother had been a different story. Savannah had willingly and clearly killed her.
As she was standing in the kitchen drenched in blood, she heard people coming and ran, leaving Tessa behind to save herself.
Over the years since she travelled and adapted to the times. Since that night she’s stopped fearing the voices, and learned how to ignore them. She’s everything her species should be. Dark and dangerous. Though mortal. A year after she killed her parents she started searching for ways to gain immortality. She eventually tracked down a vampire she had heard rumors about killing along the east coast. She knew he’d try to kill her, but had faith in her powers and hoped they’d draw him in and make him curious. She was right. For a few months she strung him along before asking him to turn her. And he did. After getting what she wanted she disappeared.
Recently she finished high school and college for the sixth time and had to move and restart again. The only reason she kept attending was to keep herself in a place of power, dominance, over others. She moved to Falls Church, Virginia a small town she had never been to before.

Name: Torryn Brindley. Nicknames: Tor. Biological Age: 25. Real Age: NA. Birthday: Star Sign: Place of Birth: Other Realm. Current Town: Falls Church. Sexuality: Heterosexual. Marital Status: Widowed. Species: Death God. Occupation: Formerly death. Education: NA. Faceclaim: Scott Eastwood.
Personality: On one hand, Torryn can be more cold and impartial. He doesn’t grow particularly attached to most things and learned over the years that sob stories were just that. He didn’t allow himself to fall victim to basic emotions like guilt or pity for the most part. He knew if he did he couldn’t do his job. For a long time, even sometimes still today he runs on autopilot. It’s easier than facing his feelings, or having to face the memories of the souls he’d been responsible for reaping for the longest times. Despite this rather distant demeanor. Most times he still can appear to be warmer. He’s blunt, but there’s a charm in the way he speaks at times, and a personality outside of just being a powerful entity. Torryn desires things like a human existence, and the same ordinary emotional range as those around him, ones that he doesn’t have to deny. But years and years of refusing to give into those feelings he’s always carried has made it hard to let his walls down. Torryn isn’t exactly good with tact. He tells people how it is, makes comments openly and doesn’t hesitate to say exactly what he thinks. Despite his envy of humanity and their freedom, he doesn’t seek to be part of them. He is a loner for the most part, and a lot of times his curiosity isn’t enough to lure him away from his hundreds of acres of farmland. Torryn is rather sarcastic and quick witted in his usual quips. He’s as capable of a verbal spar with just about anyone. With the centuries spent hidden away, Torryn tends to be rather behind on the updates of humanity.
Biography: Torryn was part of an odd species. His species came from another world, and even the words he has been given with human language make it hard to describe. It was like being nothing and everything all at once. The only true emotion he can place to what he was had been hunger. The species he had once been with had been ravenous. They sought to consume other worlds in their own chaos, and they had. Torryn in particular was in the motherland of sorts, where they’d all come from. It was the origin. He had been born there when the seams started ripping. Such a world could no longer contain such powerful beings, with such high volumes. It was clear the worlds they lived in were destroying and with those worlds, the creatures too were dying. Torryn and something akin to his brother were curious one day. There’d been an order not to leave and try to take that world, it wasn’t worth the trouble. But the curiosity got the better of them and the two went through. The first became known all over the world, under hundreds of different names. He could not become corporeal, but instead became the creator, forming the world in an image different from what he had been raised in. And then came the second, who took the shape of a human vessel and would later be known as Torryn Brindley. He became the balancing act, to maintain life and death. He was death in human form. And so from there he created reapers, to help him do the work of taking life when the time was right. Taking life from humans that his brother created, taking life from the animals that walked the earth when their time was up. He and the reapers collected souls, helping them go where they needed to get to. It was not an easy job. His entire life in the other world had been so vicious and brutal, this work did not seem much different. He despised his brother, who had gotten to create and be worshipped, where he was only feared and hated. So he learned how to turn it all off. He learned how to stop those emotions and do his job, because no one else would. However, he ended up falling in love somehow, along the way. She was human. Around the age he appeared, beautiful and fearless. When he went to reap her mother, for some reason she could see him. It was an anomaly, given that she was completely human. But she did not fear him. She understood her mother suffered and knew his work was important. So he took the soul, but he kept coming back for the human woman. Her name was Elizabeth. Eventually, he wed her in a human ceremony, and they lived together. He dictated his job among his reapers for the most part, but still did some work himself. Eventually his wife became pregnant. It was wonderful at first, but as the baby aged, it’s appetite did too. Eventually it drained his wife dry of life, leaving only a sullen shell in its place. He was on a job when it happened, doing runs and collecting soul. He went to collect the souls of a mother and a newborn baby. He was so cold to it that he did not realize the souls he was collecting belonged to his wife and child. He was forced to take them away and after that he vowed he would find a way to escape this life. And so he stayed good to his word. He started searching for his replacement. It took centuries, but he didn’t forget why he had to do it. He released a plague, one that kept only the strongest. But no families survived. One or two survivors here and there, but never a whole family like he wanted. Eventually he found the Hastens siblings. They all survived it except the parents. It was perfect. He turned them into something as close to what he was as they could get in hopes they could contain it. It took almost a century to wait for them to wake up from their transitions, but sure enough they awoke and were almost exactly as he was. They had to be everything and nothing, so he had combined the idea of every species. Soon, their training began. He started to teach and train them all how to use their powers. And eventually even started a brief affair with Emberly. It was an accident, but he was not resistant to lust. Truthfully, for him that was all it was. Lust. They had no real feelings. And he knew she’d never become what he had been. Eventually the choice was obvious. Brett was the only one who could maintain the job. He was the only one who had the right balance of heart and head and could respect the job. And so in a ceremony he transferred his abilities to Brett. He thought it killed him at first, but it worked. He released all the other siblings and found himself a farm, where he decided to live out the rest of eternity. It was a good thing for him, the farm. He enjoyed dealing with animals. They reminded him of his wife because she’d loved them so much. He was at peace with his existence when Adeline Hastens showed up on his farm. She’d been tracking her father, and she’d ran head first into Torryn. He couldn’t believe it. She was stubborn and headstrong, more so than the rest of his family. And she sought a mundane life. A part of him took interest in those desires, he had felt similar ones. But also he could tell from her powers. They were strong, stronger than Brett’s even. She would one day be the next death and he knew it was his job to train her. He didn’t expect the resistance he got.
