Who else is sad Halloween is over?
I loved how the flowers looked like islands too
White Flag
Write, they say It’ll help ease the mind But my sanity isn’t struggling It surrenders Crazy people make you feel crazy And I’m afraid I’ve lost it
Lost the reason to keep arguing Lost confidence in his love Lost patience with my temper
Life is painful, it’s death that is easy Still we shove our souls into A blender of chance In hopes that we still Recognize its pieces when it’s over The universe doesn’t give a fuck People have to take care of themselves Problem with that is Everybody is guessing
CROSS THAT BRIDGE IF WE GET TO IT //Here she is childlike, naive, ingenious // In hopes of one day knowing even better // For now, she casts her worries to the sea // Puzzle piece fingers and forehead kisses // The scent of his shampoo lingering on her shoulder // Here she is childlike, naive, ingenious. // There are places she planned to be // Curiosities to be quenched but // For now, she casts her worries to the sea // He has obligations in the name of honor // Her eyes beg for an excuse to escape // Here she is childlike, naive, ingenious // But those puzzle piece fingers and forehead kisses // Wedge themselves between this and what is to come // For now, she casts her worries to the sea. // “We will cross that bridge if we get to it” they promise // Sitting in planned silence // Here she is childlike, naive, ingenious and // For now, she casts her worries to the sea.
