He reached out, grabbing Hamish’s arm to pull him back and away from the cyclist who nearly flattened him. Of course he was immediately brushed off, pushed aside despite the fact he’d actually helped him. It was clear form the... well, everything that the Londoner hated him. If he knew why he was in the penalty box, at least he’d understand.
“ Would it kill you, literally, if you said thanks? Like, just once?”
Elliot shoved his hands in his pockets, taking a step back.
“ Don’t worry, I’ll take your word for it that it would.”
Straightening himself, Hamish gave Elliot a mean glare as he turned away from him, fully intending on not even responding to his question. Of course, as someone who was well-known for always clapping back, it almost physically hurt him not to.
Lighting a cigarette, which was what he had been about to do when the cyclist came out of nowhere, he internally cursed at himself for the fact that Elliot had been around. He’d much rather be ran over than having to show any sign of vulnerability or gratitude towards the other.
