Avon Lady - Avon Cosmetics (1961)
Every Respectable Avon Lady: Furious
Vintage Avon had the absolute cutest product designs. I’ve really never seen any other US cosmetic brand do anything remotely similar.

As the Hagley Library’s home state of Delaware and our New Jersey neighbors near Phase Two of our statewide reopening strategies on June 15, and our friends to the north in southeastern Pennsylvania enter their Yellow Phase, please remember to stay safe out there and protect yourself and one another. Our buildings will reopen to the general public eventually, and we want to see you here! This bottle of yellow Perfection Concentrated Coloring dates to 1922. It was manufactured by the California Perfume Company. In 1928, this company would release a new line of products it called the Avon collection, which began with a toothbrush and was followed up by a powdered cleanser, talcum powder, an atomizer, and a vanity set. The Avon line expanded to cosmetics the following year and continued to grow in popularity, leading the company to change its name to Avon Products, Inc. on October 6, 1939. The California Perfume Company name became a subsidiary brand before being discontinued entirely in 1957.
