Teagan shows up at the library looking for Shuska but stops to say hi when he notices Avonis. "heeeey long Time no see! how are Things laTely?"

Avonis straightens up as a small smile dances on his lips. He seems much more rested and happier than what Teagan may be used to seeing from when the Jade was in the caverns.

"✒ Oh, wonderful, friend! So much has happened in such a short amount of time, it is overwhelming but in such fantastically good ways."

He shifts a bit to the side and pats the seat next to him.

"✒ And you?"

"✒ Oh and there he goes. Hey little guy, let's collect some sticks and I'll show you somewhere you can set some little fires responsibly, okay? We can't do that here though because it could hurt others if we're not careful, or burn the home down-- and then we would be cold and without a place to sleep! That wouldn't be very fun, would it?"

Time to teach the kiddo about fire safety. *SIGHS* Fauruxes....

"I think this sweep I'll stay hive instead of going to the ball. Spend time with the little one."

"And help Shuska keep him from setting the decorations on fire..."

Avonis smiled fondly at his friend with a nod, "✒ Absolutely. Thank you..."

"hey avonis >:J nice To see you ouT in The moonlighT for once. let's geT going before anyone who isn'T in on This sees us."

A smile danced on Avonis' lips as he tried to blink back the tears for a third time. He quickly glanced back over his shoulder at the mouth of the exit where Ribrel lingered, then looked back to Teagan with a nod, "✒ Yes, let's go."

"✒ For some reason... I feel as if I dodged a bullet. Strange."

Teagan couldn't talk with Avonis at the ball so after a couple nights he heads to the caverns making very sure his psionics keep anyone but Avonis from noticing him. He puts up his hand with a sign for silence before approaching closely and hands him two small canisters wrapped in gift paper.

"I won'T sTay long. I JusT wasn'T able To give These To you aT The ball, so, I made The Trip. I'll head ouT before I'm noTice'T. happy holidays >:J"

One canister had gourmet cookies and the other had incense that most trolls would find pleasant. Maybe not the most personal gifts, but at least they were a taste of outside the caverns.

"✒ I... thank you."

He wastes no time in sketching these objects quickly into his journal, then hurriedly hides them in his cloak before the guards see. He looks longingly then at Teagan, wishing he could leave with him. Perhaps next time they meet, he'll have a gift of his own to give.
