In other news, there was another Militant Natural Foodie yesterday. She got upset with me because................

Our “natural foods” section (in quotes as disclaimer, not 1000% All Natural) was arranged differently from our sister store five minutes away from us

and due to that

our 1000% All Natural cold cuts were in the same case with the regular cold cuts.  The look on her face said: “OHGODNO my 1000% All Natural Food is touching that horrific non-1000% All Natural item!”

And I’m not saying that to mock people who don’t like the food on their plate to be touching, trust me, I’m like that as well. I’m saying it because that is the attitude of these militant natural foodies that I’ve been meeting while working this department. They’re just as scary as the hardcore vegans (who I have encountered there as well). I keep bracing myself for the day someone does actually protest out loud that these foods are in the same case together, how dare we even have them in the same place, what do you mean it’s logistically impractical to have separate cases for every single type of food product, I demand you build walls to divide them up right now.

Dear god I’ve been working customer service too long. o_O Although personally I think I’m holding onto my sanity fairly well this past week considering inventory is tomorrow and I worked nine hours yesterday and have another nine hour shift today to finish preparing for it.
