Yo Skylar-bee, your turn! When you get this you have to answer with 5 things you like about yourself, publicly. Then, send this ask to 10 of your favorite followers 💖💖💖

2:My growth has been amazing
3: I am really good at making people happy

5: im really creative
This is probably a long shot, but do you happen to know where syfy's Alice is available to watch? I saw it when it first came out on the syfy channel, and I haven't been able to find it, or syfy's Neverland, since.
Alice is right here on YouTube. It doesn’t seem to be the highest quality, but all the episodes seem to be intact from a quick check. Neverland is also there. Happy watching!
👀👑 🍕 Is there a limit to how many I can ask at once? >.>
There is not!!

An iconic scene from the beginning of Shifting Roots~
Hawkshell rose to her full height slowly. Though she was nearly as old as Elmtail, she rarely looked it. That night, the moonlight seemed to highlight every dulling gray hair around her muzzle. “Cats of the Alliance, I do not bring any good news tonight.” Several cats’ eyes widened, and a few shot quick glances over at Wildfur and Pool. The shaggy tom did not seem bothered by the Captain’s words, nor did Pool complain. Instead the gray and white tom’s gaze was fixed on Hawkshell, taking in her every word as though they were coming straight from the Spirits. “There is danger in our midst!” Hawkshell declared, her long claws sinking into the maple branch. “Two rangers were killed today: Breezeheart and…and Sunfire.” She broke off, giving herself time to breathe and the cats beneath her a chance to express their surprise and grief before she continued. “We do not know what killed them–” “It was a badger! We ran one from our territory just this morning,” Rainfall huffed. “Hold your tongue, you prideful toad!” Hawkshell roared, the fur along her back rising. “Could a mere badger maul a ranger until his own mother can barely recognize him?” Shocked gasps and worried whispers filled the crowd. Wolfthorn snorted under his breath, “If the badger’s name is Iceclaw…” “Shh!” Swiftmask hissed. “This is serious, Wolfthorn. Two rangers are dead!”
👑 - A random fact about one of my OCs
I suppose a fun fact is that none of the characters that appear in Shifting Roots are "my" OCs, since it is commissioned work that was heavily outlined by the time it came to me--but since the sequels are less fleshed out by the original creators, I DO get to add characters to them! You'll start seeing some of my own characters in Shaded River and onward. Of course, I care for the Shifting Roots characters like they're my own and love writing them too!
🍕 - OC's favorite food
Some of my characters share my sweet tooth! Nicolas and Ann in particular enjoy all kinds of baked goods; since Nicolas is a frost faerie he doesn't HAVE to eat but he likes to bake. Christopher likes strawberry desserts in particular, like strawberry shortcake and strawberry cheesecake.
Why does the story follow the protagonist, as opposed to another character in the story? I.e., what makes them so special?
Ohoho my own asks used against me >:) excellent
The story follows my protagonists because they are unique in some way! Rapid fire answers (that I will absolutely ramble about more if someone wants to hear more about a particular one) -
Beth is the protagonist because she is Dr. Agau's first success. The first subject to come out of Agau Laboratories with inhuman abilities, and the one with the reputation and pressure to fight climate change with those abilities.
Ash is the protagonist because she is the only one with the correct combination of historical context, training, and personal ties to unravel the mysteries and forces at play in Lanithon.
Nora is the protagonist because she is the one who gets visited by spiritual beings, and the one human who can learn magic without a divine or infernal bloodline.
River is the protagonist because she is the only one who splashed down on the alien planet without a boat and with her memories intact.
1 and 3
Thank you for the ask!!
1. give short descriptions of all your current WIPs.
Scars of a Burnt Memory: in an effort to protect his hospitalized sister from more heartache than she can handle after the devastation of their family’s house burning down, Jeffie Willekes, against his judgement, is pulled into a lie that could uproot the foundation of their entire family.
Going Nowhere into Nothing: sisters Jasper and Juno return home after unforeseen circumstances pulls Jasper from university, only to realize their hometown is not in the state they left it while something sinister lurks under the surface.
3. what makes you love writing?
So many things! I love exploring different characters and dynamics, and playing around with different aspects of love, especially in familial and platonic ways since I feel that is so often overlooked. It’s also like, a safe place for my mind to retreat when life gets too overwhelming. I love that no matter what I’m doing, my brain will automatically start weaving together a story. And especially, I love how vivid my writing feels. I read and think about my writing and I can see everything so clearly, like my characters aren’t on a page, but standing beside me instead. But what makes me love writing the most is how personal it feels. It’s like breathing to me. I can no sooner stop writing than I can stop using my left hand. It’s become a part of me that is so engrained that I can only think in stories and words.
Writing ask meme <3
OH MY GODS I ACTUALLY DID SEE A CAT, YESTERDAY! My mom works for this new company that trains service dogs and she's making a calander for them, so we went over to do a photoshoot to get reference pictures for my mom to use when painting the cover picture, and there was an orange cat hanging around, named Garfield. Later on I also saw a beautiful tabby cat named Kiwi that belongs to my mom's boyfriend's daughter -- Kiwi was not impressed with my Yorkie xD
A PET CALENDAR PHOTOSHOOT??? God that’s the goals right there.
And they sound like lovely cats!
How's the marathon going? I'm trying to, like, binge write to catch up after falling behind for a second time in the same book -- whoops! -- so I'm trying to stay up too.
Hi!
It’s going okay, thank you for asking! Only two people left, but who knows how long they’ll stay on because the prize is a hefty in-game cash amount. At any moment they can decide to tie and split the prize evenly between them, but again, who knows what they’ll decide to do haha.
What’s the book about?? Good luck with writing! I can totally relate with falling behind haha.
