do people know that some "picky eaters" (ie. austistic ones) can have a genuine visceral bodily reaction to some textures. or do they really think its just being fussy

the fact that so many male artists can draw basically any other random thing better than accurate female anatomy is so wildly deplorable and so so tiring

it is actually amazing how self-confident and arrogant men will be in believing they know absolutely everything and go out of their way to correct you on something they really do not know about. i had an absolute stranger at an event overhear me use the phrase “freeze up like a rabbit” and then butt in to the conversation to say “actually rabbits don’t freeze, they bolt”.

i was so baffled and instantly irritated by this dudes blunt-ass interjection (especially as someone that considers animals one of my main interests) that i didn’t even stop to think he might be wrong, i just went “haha am i being mansplained to right now?” and his flat response was “the fact that i’m male doesn’t change the fact that you’re wrong”.

after the convo was diffused and he finally fucked off i looked up what the truth was and he wasn’t even right. rabbits do freeze. they both freeze AND bolt. i cannot IMAGINE having that kind of confidence in yourself when what you’re saying isn’t even fucking right
