YOUNG HOME, SOUTHSIDE + AXEL
it took ryan a week to find the balls to visit southside properly, and he’s avoided the street of their childhood home whenever he’s had to pass it. seeing the t.v light flickering in the front window is enough to make him feel sick, knowing axel is just a few feet away and clueless that he’s outside. ryan can’t think of what to say or how to apologize enough. abandoning his brother was never something he thought he’d do until he had no choice. slowly, ryan walks to the door and kicks it a few times with his boot instead of knocking. it’s how he always made his presence known and wonders if it will make axel rush to the door or avoid it all the more. “axe, it’s me.” he calls through it, rapping the wood a few times with his knuckle then. “i know we have a lot to talk about, i got a lot to...explain. you in there?” @axelyoung
