A Nightmare in Wonderland | Art Review

“To bridge the spaces between our darkest dreams and walking realities” Ayden Gallery's newest exhibit “A Nightmare in Wonderland” promises to do just that. Curated by Ixie Darkonn part 1 of a 4 part event shows the “creative perspectives from around the world” Each showing will hold 3-5 works of art from each of the 8 arts involved. “A nightmare is a misunderstood dream we may not share, out of fear of ruining it. This project pays tribute to the creative process of bringing beauty out from our nightmares. We must change them into something more understandable and bring forth their colours and dreamlike qualities into tangible reality.”
The 8 artists being showcased in this project are DULK of Spain. He has been featured in England, Germany, Holland, Frace, Italy and Belgium where he has recently won a major international award. Selena Leardini of Venice, Italy. Julie Filipenko of Tel Aviv, Israel who's art is available for purchase through her Etsy store. Kristian Adam who currently resides here in Vancouver, his work has been displayed in Canadian embassies of Japan, Korea and China. Yoko d'Holbachie of Japan. Je Vavjeniak who's main area of focus is pencil drawings. Atsuko Goto of Japan who was recently featured in Hi-Fructose. And Eric Lacombe of Lyon, France he is a self taught painter, graphic designer and artist.
“A Nightmare in Wonderland” Part 1 is set to open here in Vancouver on March 6th with the opening reception featuring new works and live DJ.
