Walking Through Time: Lucknow, Ayodhya & Varanasi
There are places you visit to see. And then there are places you visit to feel.
Recently, I did a 3-city trip across Lucknow, Ayodhya, and Varanasi — and honestly? It was less of a holiday, more of a soul cleanse.
🕌 Lucknow — The City of Tehzeeb
It all began in Lucknow — where history wears a sherwani and every street corner whispers Urdu poetry.
I wandered through the grand Bara Imambara, almost lost in its Bhool Bhulaiya. Grabbed a hot Tunday Kebab plate from a street cart that’s older than most of us. Watched the sun melt behind Rumi Darwaza, feeling oddly still in a buzzing city.
In Lucknow, time isn’t fast. It’s graceful.
🛕 Ayodhya — Where Every Stone Has a Story
Next came Ayodhya — the birthplace of Lord Ram.
I stood at Ram Janmabhoomi in quiet awe, watching the sunrise reflect off the marble domes. As the day faded, the Saryu Aarti lit up the river in gold and orange. That moment? It wasn’t about religion. It was about energy.
Ayodhya doesn’t shout its significance. It just lets you feel it.
🌊 Varanasi — A Spiritual Tsunami
And then, Varanasi.
A boat ride at 5:30 AM. The Ganges mist curling like incense. Chants echoing off the water. I didn’t even take pictures — I just watched. The Ganga Aarti later that evening hit every emotional nerve in my body.
There’s a reason they say Banaras is eternal. It teaches you to be still in chaos.
🧳 Thinking of Going?
If this sounds like your kind of reset, here’s the tour I went with: 👉 Lucknow Ayodhya Varanasi tour package — complete with travel, stays, food, and even a guide who tells you stories that aren’t in history books.
📌 Just a Few Tips:
October–February = best season
Carry socks (temple visits!)
Go with a group if it’s your first time
Wake up early — trust me, it’s worth it
And never skip the chai ☕
This trip didn’t just give me reels and memories. It gave me stillness. And in 2025, that’s rare.
