My first foray into WoW fanfiction in many years, and my first Sylvaina fic (though I am coming into a fandom and pairing with so so many incredible writers dear mother of Thrall there’s so much to read!) Any and all feedback eagerly and gratefully received but most of all I hope people enjoy my ramblings.
Summary: Jaina needs a bodyguard after Arthas attacks Silvermoon. Sylvanas, now sworn to destroy him, needs bait to lure the death knight in, but ends up with a few more sorceress-shaped complications than she might have thought. AU Azeroth, living Sylvanas (well, so far).
A what if situation where Tyraleza becomes Lightforged because she wants to be closer to the light.
Taria took a deep breath as she materialized upon the Vindicaar, still not use to the sensation of teleportation. She glanced around the Draenic ship, taking in the marvels, but quickly shook her head as if to chase away her thoughts as she returned to her task at hand. The young princess had been sent by her king, her half-brother, to retrieve the queen-mother and bring her home to Stormwind. She knew that her mother had offered to represent the Alliance upon Argus, but with the campaign over, she needn’t be there much longer, it was time to come home and enjoy the peace they had before something tore it away once more. After several minutes of navigating the ship, asking the location of the Queen-mother, Taria had located her sitting on a crate, looking glum.
Releaved that she had found her mother, Taria had appraoched her, stopping just a few feet away as she took notice of her personal bodyguard keeping an unusual amount of distance away from her. Then her eyes met with her mother’s, and she saw why.
Her eyes weren’t like the fiery topaz she had known all her life, but rather a bright gold, akin to the sun. They flickered in the dim light, almost like fire.
“Why?” inquired the young princess, sapphire eyes shining with worry and curiosity “why did you do it, mother?”
Tyraleza looked to her beloved daughter, a small smile trying to tug at the corners of her mouth.
“I wanted to become closer to the Light,” she answered “But...” she sighed, glancing to her bodyguard “But, I didn’t know how steep the price would be, how it would effect those around me...” she looked to her hands like one would if they were covered in blood “I am now one with the Light, and it is one with me. I am Lightforged...”
Something I wanted to do for Tyra showing her ferocity and inspired by the Battle for Azeroth stuff that will be going on.
Horde soldiers under the command of Sylvanas Windrunner stormed through the streets of Stormwind. Guards fought valiantly as they attempted to fight off the raiders and to protect the civilians. As they charged into the keep, making their way towards King Anduin, they were instead greeted by the Queen mother, Tyraleza.
“You want my son? You will have to go through me!” Tyra growled, calling fire to her fingertips, the air heating around her “I guarantee that you won’t live to see the next sunrise!”
