Azazel asked how would Writer be in my au/if Moray had a sibling.
I guess, the period when purple beans used to be besties was before they got their glasses. That day things are changed: no need to rely on your twin to interact with surroundings, and Writer preferred "the strong company" (Hefty, Handy, Clumsy, Dopey), while Moralizator couldn't catch up his a social life and preferred the company of books. Of course, they had talks from time to time, and if Moray need some strength he wouldn't ask that rude smurf Hefty, better ask your twin; and sure, they have influence on each other: Moralizator drew interest to writing in bro as Writer's been guarding his weak bro from bullying. But they wasn't actually close.
Ironically, but Writer's curse helped them to get close, again. Moralizator has always liked horrors and dark stories. Deep inside they give him a relief that someone feels worse than him, for others he would answer, "You can know good only by evil. And the deep analysis of evil and its reasons & consequences can show us the right way to fight evil". So, Writer has at least one fan of his new movement in literature and that strange positive meaning Moralizator sees in it is relieving. Plus, the weak twin is fond of reducing any living creature's suffering, therefore, he's trying his best to comfort his twin now, when Writer needs it the most.
