Round 2 - 2022 (In America: An Anthology of Fashion / Gilded Glamour) - Match 42 of 50
Amber Valletta (Azzaro), left

vs. Bad Bunny (Burberry), right
"“I researched what was going on during the Gilded Age in my country, in Puerto Rico,” says Bad Bunny. He and Tisci ended up referencing images from his country during the era, in which women wore puffed collars and men tailored suits. “We mixed the men’s looks with women’s [for my look,]” says Bunny. The custom ensemble resulted in a classic blue collared shirt and black tie, worn underneath a tan puff-sleeve jacket and skirt—which attached to create the illusion of a one-piece. “We’ve done the skirt a million times, but the dress is a new thing for us, which was cool,” says Storm Pablo, Bunny’s stylist." "He says that when he heard the theme, he thought he’d wear something inspired by Latin America. “Because it’s America too.”" (x)(x)
