I refuse to compromise my worth for anything half-assed

I refuse to indulge in mind games and shallow talks. I don’t want to feel ecstatic one morning then feel broken the next day. I refuse to be in a relationship with someone just because it’s convenient. 

I’d rather be alone than sacrific my self-worth, and be with someone who doesn’t feel the same way as I do. Because I’m doing fine on my own. 

I don’t mind eating out alone at a table for two. I don’t mind not receiving cute messages in the morning. I don’t mind travelling alone to an unknown place and explore. I don’t mind doing things alone and being independent. 

Love is more than anything material, love sees beyond what the other person can offer. Love is not fancy dates, nor cute travel photos. 

Love is a beautiful thing, but if love meant losing myself in the process just to keep someone, then I’ll pass. I won’t put my heart on the line and waste time on uncertainty. I won’t give myself to a person that will later tell me he doesn’t want anything serious. 

Nothing is lonelier than being trapped in a relationship with someone who doesn’t treat you the way you deserve. As I’ve learned the hard way. 

I’ve been cheated on, abused and taken for granted already. Now, I refuse to enter a relationship I’m not sure of just because I’m missing out; or just because I feel lonely at the moment. 

I want to be in love with someone I can call mine for a lifetime or a long time, at least. I want a love that will keep me, a love that will stay when I’m being hard to handle; a love that will hold me when I feel weak and unable to move forward; a love that will support my dreams, and a love that won’t change overnight. A love that can reciprocate everything I can give and do. As I know, I give everything that I can when I love. 

Lastly, I don’t need a man to validate me. I don’t need a man to love me to know my value.

✽ OHANA MEANS FAMILY;

Los hermanos, el mayor y el menor. Son dos pilares importantes en la vida de Olivia, mi personaje, quien sin el apoyo de su familia no habría podido sobrevivir al instituto. El mayor estaría entre los 25 y 28 años, mientras que el menor tendría entre 21 y 19 años. Ambos son varones, sus personalidades y ocupaciones son muy libres. Son descendientes de Charlotte Bordeaux por parte de padre (o tal vez no, que los deslices y el drama siempre son bienvenidos), por lo que el apellido sería justamente ese, Bordeaux. En cuanto a los nombres, ¡todo muy libre! 

Un dato a tener en cuenta es que ambos son tíos de una niña de siete años, Maude, que su hermana tuvo a los dieciséis. La opinión de cada uno sobre ese hecho, cómo reaccionaron, la relación actual que llevan y demás, es a completa decisión de quien los tome.   

Sobre los PBs de cada uno, no tengo ninguno en mente, así que es a elección, pero me gustaría discutirlo para que tenga algún parecido al de Liv (Roosmarijn de Kok). 

✽ WHAT’S TEENAGE LOVE?;

Vamos a llamarlo Dan, para no caer en el cliché de letras del abecedario, y antes que nada voy a aclarar que no se trata de una trama amorosa. No actual, por lo menos, y no tiene por qué terminar siendo una.

Nuestro muchacho Dan fue el novio de Olivia durante casi tres años, desde los quince hasta meses antes de la graduación. Eran esa típica pareja modelo del instituto, los que todo el mundo juraba que terminarían casados, dos hijos, un perro, la casa perfecta y un futuro totalmente próspero. Entonces ella quedó embarazada, el futuro se volvió presente y ¡boom! Maude llegó. Que sí, que es el padre. La reputación de Liv cayó en picada, mientras que lo que sucedió con la de él queda en manos de quien lo tome.

Dijeron que iban a casarse nada más graduarse para poder darle una familia a Mo, hasta hubo anillo. No obstante, las cosas se truncaron cuando se dieron cuenta de que ninguno de los dos quería casarse siendo tan jóvenes, y todo terminó en cuanto él recibió una beca completa a una universidad del otro lado del país. La relación amorosa se rompió, pero la amistad jamás se fue: llamadas por Skype una vez por semana como mínimo, miles de llamadas y mensajes de texto. 

Actualmente, él ya está de vuelta en Union Field (por Maude, más que nada) y tiene custodia compartida de la niña. Las cosas con Liv son tranquilas, siguen hablando como los grandes amigos que son, no suelen discutir para nada, y hasta organizaron viajes cortos de a tres en el pasado. No están juntos desde hace años, y tuvieron otras relaciones desde el fin de la de ambos hacia la actualidad. Todo es muy, muy tranquilo.

Esto quedó muy largo, así que últimas aclaraciones y ya: ocupación, nombre, apellido y demás es libre, el FC me gustaría discutirlo (porque tengo cierta imagen de Mo, más que nada) y poco más que eso.
