@ibijau offered me a Beauty and the Beast AU, I am slowly turning it in an horror AU in which Sidon is the one seeking the cursed house where Koroks and their misterious Hylian master live. Find the house, complete the spirit’s trials and you’ll be able to have any wish of yours granted.
Sidon is from the 1920, more or less, Link has been living in the castle without setting foot out of it for literal centuries and he knows visitor who challenge the trials never last too long for a reason or another and he just can’t wait to get back to his slumber that makes time feel less long.
He’s old, he’s tired and either this redhead will walk away or perish trying. He can’t help those who are stupid enough to seek the castle anyway...
And yes, the castle appeares to whoever truly seeks it but it’s such an old legend in the outside world most people think it’s a fake tale anyway, how long has it been from the last time anyone stepped in?
Talking about that: the building adapts to whoever the current ‘guest’ is so imagine Link’s surprise when he tries to get in his cellar and finds himself in front of a weird buzzing cabinet cold inside instead (fridges what are those?) or when he realizes his horse is gone, replaced by an early age car.
