This scan of one page from the 96 Chevy Caprice brochure—which I found just now in an ancient forum post, hosted on Earthlink—proves that my ideal Roadmaster seats, which I have never actually seen in an Craigslist or ebay listing, actually did exist. (It’s the 90s-look blue cloth; the red one in the attached photo was the first I’d seen in a non-gray.)
Granted: this does not change my never having seen them. (Non-gray interiors were extremely common, so far as I can tell, on every 91-96 b-body except the second-gen Caprices that got this goofy upholstery.)
