Meg has routinely dropped freestyle verses online and teased various verses through quick snippet videos, but she has officially released a new solo single. She has talked somewhat extensively about working on her official debut studio album since all of her previous releases have been either mixtapes or EPs. In interviews she has said that the album would be something a little different than what we’ve heard from her on the previous releases and this song, as the first single release, is setting the tone. Over a sample that has been used quite a few times throughout hip-hop, Meg gets into what may become a female anthem flipping the “B” word. The track is slower than what we’re used to hearing from Meg lately and she’ll have to switch up her twerk game a little for this live performance. My first thoughts on the track was that the different, slower tempo works for her and she always has some punchlines in there that will resonate with most females. I’m not sure if I like the song enough to add it to my faves, but I feel like as the lead off to the album, Suge, it gives us some insight into what we can expect to hear from it.
