Inktober 2022 No. 17: Wise Man (and Hat) . ”Well well then, there go a couple of suckers.” . YET ANOTHER fantastic piece of creature design and puppetry, and another great Terry Jones moment. The banter between the Wise Man and the Hat is pure Monty Python. . This one seems a little different - more “cartoony” and textured, less contrasty. But I think I made a good step out of my comfort zone with this effort. Hopefully I can carry those techniques forward and combine them with the usual. . Bowie’s Jareth the Goblin King has become one of the most iconic characters of our generation. The role was practically written around him, even though he didn’t sign on the dotted line until 2 months before shooting was to begin. . HUGE PRESSURE to deliver on Jareth for his first appearance. I think it’s landed in a good spot, for the most part. Must be more expressive for subsequent ones. What? You thought this was it? He changes costumes about 8 times… . Inktober 2022 No. 22: LUDO!? . ”I don't want that thing back in my mouth!” . I know it s a little soon for another Ludo, but this moment was too good to pass up. A real heart-warming character moment in the middle of the quest, apropos of nothing. BRILLIANT. .
