I find it interesting that the company they were working with made them wait three months before starting the process. I am so blessed to be matched with the intended parents I have. They're truly amazing but I totally get and support the idea behind that policy. This is a huge decision with a lot of smaller decisions that are going to be made over the course of the pregnancy (and the rest of your lives). It would be very uncomfortable if you find that you disagree on something important when you're 6 months pregnant with their child. Like they want to name their baby girl K8lyn or something. Also I find it cool that the laws in the U.K. seem to greatly differ from ours. No third party surrogacy would mean that the fees that the parents are paying for the company that introduced us and is handling the administrative paperwork stuff wouldn't exist. It would be nice if that savings was then forwarded onto the surrogate but it sounded as though the entire idea of "compensated surrogacy" isn't allowed. I love being pregnant. I love the idea of helping this amazing couple. But unfortunately I'm not sure if I would be doing this if I wasn't compensated. I would like to say yes but I honestly don't know. This money is literally life changing for me. The idea of being able to consider being a homeowner at 25 is something that would have never happened if I was working paycheck to paycheck. Plus hopefully when Aurora gets a little bigger as a homeowner it will be easier to be a foster parent!
I am seriously so freakin excited to see this little peanut for the first time. And yes I changed the intended mom's name in my phone to "Baby Mama"
