“Hey, believe me when I say I know how weird it can be at the start.”  BOY, DOES SHE.  Even if BOY hadn’t fit her, it had been familiar; trying something else was scary.  She had her dads, but as far as she knows, Sonic doesn’t have anybody to help --- least of all anybody with her ample experience.  So how could she just sit back when her friend said something --- something little, something somebody else might not notice, but which felt super familiar to her --- that made it seem like he needed help the same way she had?  OR AT LEAST A BUDDY.

“And you’re talkin’ to the right girl.  In case you haven’t noticed, athleisure is my FAVOURITE THING.  Neither of us are gettin’ dressy in stuff we can’t move in.”  She takes his hand --- not too tight; Whisper’s teaching her about boundaries --- and gently tugs him into the store.  She shoots a wave at her favourite employee before guiding him towards her usual corner.  “Oooh --- what about a romper?  Some of ‘em look like dresses, but they’re really shorts on the bottom!”  She pulls a romper off the rack and holds it up to him, squinting, before putting it back.  Not his colour.  “Might be a good place to start --- cute and feminine and easy to move in!”

She looks back towards the rack and grabs the same style of jumper as the first, though this one is a muted light blue.  The bottom is ruffled to make it look like a dress, but it isn’t.  (  she owns the same one in yellow.  )  “And this would look SUPER CUTE on y’!”

But --- oh.  She’s doing it again, huh?  A sigh and a self - conscious laugh.  She lets go of his hand, but only to point to herself.  “------ When I did this the first time, I broke down and cried.  I was so overwhelmed.  It was a good overwhelmed, but it was a lot!  So if you need a break, or if I’m being too much, lemme know, okay?  I don’t wanna push too hard.”

i like that no matter how Done w/ s1′s Edgy(tm) behavior he may be satoshi still acts like his good good softboy self towards them   ( when he’s not busy Losing It at them bc jesus the kid’s got a Shitty temper )
