Saw Fnaf 2 last night! Had a lot of fun! Special shout out to the group of friends who gave people in the theater cute kandi bracelets and also gave me a pigeon and rin/len stickers 🥺 so kind

Great movie! I think I like the first one a little more though, the first movies pacing is slower and they’re able to build the story so nicely and it’s a strong and simple story. 2’s pacing feels a lot faster/more actiony, there’s a lot happening and less room to breathe but it’s fine in creating a like, exciting movie. 2’s story had a lot of loose ends because they plan to finish the story in the third movie, so I’m not mad about it but it makes the first movie feel more complete if that makes sense

Animatronics looked fantastic, jim henson company you did it again. Fucking circus baby? Was suuuch a fucking surprise my jaw dropped and now I want to see the fucking funtimes with moving faceplates but they’re jim henson puppets… bro it’s going to fuck so hard if they ever do that.

The opening scene was fantastic, LOOOVED the posing of the final shot that was sick. And loved the character design of charlotte’s outfit, black stripes on her sleeves ect.

I will say I did not like what they were doing with mike’s character (so fucking rude to vanessa, just trying to move past everything while being dismissive of her and then fucking having the gall to say he doesnt trust her at the end when she’s done nothing but try to save him and abby? real fucking shithead) but i assume they want to have an arc where he learns to act better and apologizes to her in the next movie, so whatever. just makes mike a little less enjoyable here

speaking of, real interesting choice to make mike schmidt and michael afton separate characters here when they are almost certainly the same person in the games. michaels character was kinda odd to me the whole time, i was like “oh he must be a red herring for the real bad guy” but nah he just wants to murder people like his dad which is kinda the opposite of game michael who hated his dad. but the movie is it’s own universe and very different to the games (like vanessa being afton’s daughter instead of elizabeth) so whatever

The voice actors did fantastic. Also I love abby and the kid actors. Maysilee donner you did great ( /j that is not her name)

Finally liked the fun references, like direct references to ucn voice lines (“i dont hate you, but you need to stay out of my way” and “fat fingers”), puppet going inside of people to puppet them like he did with lefty, the fucking rxq cameo was great, and the balloras on the music box at the end.

Edit because i forgot: thank you for actually letting them swear, in the first movie whenever vanessa says Freaking i lose my mind a little

A strong wind whisked through the air as Baby Lofty set up her hot air balloon for an afternoon sail. "Be careful," Mama Lofty urged, "the wind is very frisky today." Baby Lofty jumped into the riding basket, pulled the string and up, up, up she went! All the clouds waved as she floated past them. "This is so much fun," she laughed as the wind rocked the balloon back and forth. Suddenly, there was a strange hissing noise coming from the top of the balloon. It got louder and louder until - POP! All the air had seeped out of the balloon. "Hop on," called a passing cloud. Baby Lofty jumped on the cloud, pulling the deflated balloon behind her. We'll stop here," the cloud said, pointing to the Lullabye Nursery. They spent the rest of the day repairing the broken balloon, then the wind guided Baby Lofty safely home.
