It was this time of year that he could do this; oh, how he'd missed being able to do this on a regular basis! If only there was a way to fully restore his powers---Rei decided that he could worry about that some other time, else he'd be missing out on an activity he'd so missed doing. If only Ritsu would come along with him tonight...
It took a while to get used to his wings again, his joints feeling rather stiff in his bat form due to misuse. Nothing a little warm-up couldn't fix, so once he'd felt his body feel flexible again, the vampire took off into the night sky for an exhilirating flight.
...At least that was the plan. Executing it was another thing.
Being new to this form again after a year, Rei couldn't fly too high or else he'd risk tiring himself out quickly. He'd immediately noticed that when he'd first taken off into the air and thus had to fly at a much lower altitude. Unfortunately, that made him at level with most houses, and that came with plenty of disturbances that interfered with his senses.
As a result, the poor bat became disoriented easily, flying around erratically while trying to blindly find his way past the houses towards a safe clearing, but ended up flying into an open window. Rei had no idea that he'd nearly collided with someone, but it would've been better than ending up bumping against any vertical flat surface in his dizzied flight path.
With a feeble squeak, Rei fell down from the air, bouncing against the countertop on his back and unto the floor on his head not far from Hajime.
