my favorite background extras #1

sorry for my absence hehe but i really wanna bring this account back and i thought i'd start with counting down my favorite background extras in pride (#1 because there are a LOT of them). pride is one of those movies where you can recognize almost every single character in the background in multiple scenes if you really try, which imo makes it feel all the more authentic and also makes me become way too attached to them and want to write out detailed backstories for all of them but that's for another time lmao. so, let's start!

this lesbian couple at pride (it's impossible to get a good screenshot of them because they're always super blurry but in another frame they're holding hands). the butch representation is just *chef's kiss* and also the person on the left reappears in the final pride march scene and i want their hair ok bye

this guy. he's in the background for the entire conversation between mike and joe at the beginning, always stone-faced and half-heartedly pumping his fist in the air and something about him just speaks to me idk, maybe it's the hat

there are so many people at the house party that i wanna talk about but,, this person.. looks so hot what the hell??? uhhh i'm a big lesbian and also who tf looks good with this haircut and why are they holding a mug i can't

this short king who looks absolutely terrified and uncomfortable the entire time he's on screen in this scene, which... same (also, he actually is noticeably like a foot shorter than everyone else which is hilarious). also, he's one of the guys carrying mark at the very end and i'm just,, emotional

this guy who's just standing off to the side and longingly observing all the miner women and the gays dancing away. i hope jonathan's disco moment knocked down some walls and showed him that he can actually join them if he wants to 🥺 (also i just realized this screenshot looks like a meme template)
