Just watched tumblr eat my quality in real time so uh click for better quality but anyways break has been nice and im currently getting around to updating Cyrus and Prints Artfight pages as i've rewritten their lore and redesigned cyrus since i made the pages. So they're pretty significantly outdated. (design rambling below)

I really like cyrus's new design, you'll notice hes missing the stripes on his mask and the spraypaint marking on his jacket from the lore, for the mask stripes being missing its because hes the oldest of the newer (post-war) generation of partypoopers and actually fits somewhere along the middle since he did experience the war, just very very early on. So unlike the others i think he would have kept closer to the partypooper clothing standards. (the actual reason? It kept bugging me like severely and i couldnt figure out how to fit it with his new design. SOB, The main detail of Cyrus's design is the large collar he has from his jacket so it hasn't actually changed much.) As for where the spraypaint marking went its actually on the inside of the jacket because hes got a flip jacket, the other side being a much darker color and the one he generally uses when moving about. Cyrus's jacket is also cropped now, mostly because i mean as cool as a trench is its pretty in the way if you're in the backrooms and trying to escape monsters. Cyrus's old design didn't have much of an idea for it, this time i know im going for a rogue-like look. He still has his duffel bag dw that hasn't gone anywhere. Haven't changed much with print other than anatomy and lore, hes still got the spraypaint stain. <3 Uh his hands, are missing their mouths, that ones just cus. .. ididnt want to have to censor/hide it on artfight. I got lazy chat. and while i could have just not had his hands there he looks weird without something. Anyways i think Cyrus is a gremlin who climbs everything he can and that includes Print. Double anyways ive gotta catch up with whats happened while i've been gone mb chat mb im behind

this is kinda old cus im just now getting to watermarkign it lmao but i like the look of jsut screenshots of ur own art idk its kinda homey anwyays other notes: (which also kinda turned into a big ramble so uh beware i guess)

going more realistic on partyogers ooo oooo also pritn hand stuff, basically im making my partygoers mroe like those horrific cursed ones from the games (whcih i now realize are listed at the sketch of the eye)

i kinda reset their lore? back to early stages because i lost the vibe i liked, so theyre back to more of being like rivals ish

had some other ideas but those arent here woops theyre in my book

Cyrus's jacket flips inside out, the inside is dark similar to how the usual partygoer outfits go, this is his way of being fun and holding onto the traditions of the partypoopers before the funwar.

(This is a massive ramble of random traits and ideas i have) Cyrus also follows more of the original sorta "guidelines" for partypoopers? not necessarily guidelines,, uhhhh idk how to explain but the way i've done my lore lets me do fun stuff with the different interpretations of the entities, such as: Partygoers can have many many different mutations, i can have partygoers closer to the original with the carved faces, or i can give them fun attributes like more digitigrade legs, uh other complete random headcanon i just remembered: i think they lose a lung when they get turned into partygoers thats why they have bad stamina, and also i think it'd be really goofy if they could breathe/produce helium for blowing up balloons or making themself lighter to sneak around.... oh god im remembering all the headcanons HELP HEEits something OKAY ANYWYAS BACK ON TRACK I'LLLL GETTT TOOO THAT LATTERR (Maybbbee or if someone asks....... and i actualyl get to replying... guys this is a once in a lifetime event where i can actually explain stuff)

okay i got lost but cyrus follows the pre-funwar traditions of staying mute and communicating through sign language, he can in fact speak its just in comparison to the older partypoopers (pre-funwar, more canon) and the newer generation (post-funwar, its a group of goofed teenagers who like customization and didnt get the time to learn the traditions due to the circumstances) hes sort of in a middle zone? Can and will with the others like Pim and Lux but will use sign language with the veterans, its kind of like a respect thing actually wait......... hold on im onto something here anwyays thats the rambles for now i'll be back in a minute i need to go write my name on my notebook sketches before i can put them here too

also: Cyrus having a notebook journal thing, i think him traveling outside is sort of new ish, he was out when he was younger before the war (i dont know how age on these guys works im just making up random stuff) but after the fun war he was kept in the main hideouts until he got older. Cyrus is currently the oldest of whats technically the newer generation? but he still fits in that middle zone, he was the first to get to go out adventuring on his own after getting to that age where he could be trusted. I like to imagine it like this sort of thing where the older ones go out and theyre all practically invisible, and this is cyrus trekking out on his own to go experience everything firsthand that hes heard and learnt about since he was young. Its really hard to keep track of my vibes chat PRint is a WHOLE other nightmare tho holaaayyy i got ideas for YOU sir

So innocent,,,, anyways I used the lasso fill tool on ibispaint for the last bit of art i did and oml that thing is so easy and quick to use for big areas. is it good for accurately drawing in the lines? no, do i care? also no, peak tool chat peak tool. anwyasys im being surprised by my own motivation to draw i didnt think i'd recharge this quick i think its the need to fill in a portfolio for print and cyrus's artfight pages because i was gonna draw them a new reference and now we're here woops

U GET BOTH!!! okayokay so I'm really late this was sent in like june (IM SO SORRY I im gonna be so real with you i am absolutely not used to checking my inbox) BUT okay so I might suck at explaing this but this is from a moment in their lore where the two are stuck in level 129 (The White Forest), This is actually the first turning point for their relationship (in terms of no longer hating eachother) since Cyrus is forced to make a truce with Print. Through one way or another that i havent figured out yet the two end up in the white forest, most likely in the middle of a fight. Cyrus is knocked into the snow and print takes a minute to gather his bearings before going to attack Cyrus again except right before contact, Cyrus makes the time out symbol (im so bad at explaining here lemme--)

("OH SH- I WAS PREPARED TO GET BASHED IN THE FACE NOT FOR IT TO LISTEN") Print stares longer, waiting for the idiot in the snow to finally make his mind up about what hes gonna say. After a moment he winds his arm back once more only to be met with a panicked flurry of different signs. Wow, very readable. "Do you think I can read that fast?" Print growls a bit, He shouldn't have even bothered but hey. Aren't these guys supposed to be extinct? What's a little bit of curiousness gonna do. =) "OKAY OKAY OKAY WAIT, LISTEN. Do you know where we are?" Cyrus signs once again, albeit slower this time. Print takes a minute to readjust himself, looking up around to see the white snow, the sudden snap to reality letting the frost bite in. Damn it was cold. He turns back to the partypooper on the floor, smiling menacingly "...Why does it matter?" "We're in level 129! You--" He pauses, steeling himself before signing "You can't kill me here." Print looks almost upset at this, "And Why is that?" "Because you'll Die." Print glares at him "You think I can't just noclip out?" "No, because you don't know where to. Wouldn't want to end up in the void would you?" Cyrus returns the same look before feeling himself get yanked up off the ground, Prints pulled him up by the collar. "Why don't I just make you tell me then." "Even with that you wont make it out without my help." Cyrus wanted to sign 'I wouldn't tell you anyways.' but he doesn't need to be in more trouble than he already is. Print growls at him before throwing him back down into the snow, as much as he hated to admit it. He really didn't know where they were. He'll just strangle that jerk when they get out. "So what do you propose then Huh?" "A truce." "A truce?" "I'll lead us out of here, you'll protect me from the entities." "HAH! protect you? And why would I do that?" "If I die you die." "You'd just leave me and go yourself" "I'd get murdered by the entities" "I'd like to see that" "Get hit with a rock" "No thanks =)" "Is that a yes?" "...Fine." ----------- There are so many plotholes in this but theres most definitely some moment or something that proves some of what cyrus is saying. since he could be lying but, i think print would humor him anwyays Cyrus knows how to get out of lvl 129 since Kyros was there + t aught him. Anyways, at some point Print ends up with a blanket and they stay in a cave (i dont think.,. caves exist in lvl 129 but i mean... freeee??? interrpretationnn????) so after cyrus almost gets killed in his sleep by an entity (I forget what all the entities that are in lvl 129 are i gotta look at the wiki again) He ends up sitting next to print, and also journalling about all the weird stuff going on. Mostly: Not being dead, this is also where Cyrus ends up giving Print his nickname (Print didn't have a name up until this point and he only learns about it like way later i think idk when, Neither of these guys know eachother by name at this point they just know eachother by hate LMFAO)

other randomn thing is that at some point close to before they get out, Print stops cyrus and tells him to stay where he is, before he walks up to him aaaaanndd punches him straight into a snowbank. "DUDE WTF"

(That arts kinda old in comparison to my recent thoughts of tulip so hes a little more squishy but the notes are accurate right now, tulip is actually in a wanderer party? group? travellers?? hes got a group of humans that accept him..) the goods also TULIP AHHHH

Tulip was sort of... a background character??? orgiinallyyyyy??????? like i hadn't really.. given him an actual character he was more of stereotyped to cinammon roll while i was fixated on Print and Cyrus's characters But I had a really cool thought for him recently, ofc it was uh prints fault (its always prints fault how dare he) with his new lore Tulip as a character is much more?? indepth now, hes kind of hard to describe, hes fluffy and fun and rather nice but he's also capable of quick thinking and the type of leadership qualities needed when it comes to surviving in the backrooms (I forgot to explain the thought but its uh hard to explain i need draw but basically print and tulip: friends, print : traumatized, begin pretending to be a normal partygoer so he doesnt get torn apart, pushing tulip away + not telling him whats happening while kind of forgettign himself, Tulip: Print... I thought we had something? Cmon... at least dont try to force a smile for me? Print: ((TOO FAR GONE)) relationship: RUINED (They'll fix it after Print gets therapy) begonia: EVIL hotel? triva- okay the adhd's hitting I actually wanted to draw him with the new ideas anwyays so i'll probably just add some more stuff there on general character idea/design/oc/whatever details but i love him hes adorable and i think he technically serves as a foil (in character writing) for Print? Pritns new lore is definitely somethign to behold though. Gotta figure that out. its all rly messy rn but im happy so far
