BACKUP LOG cannot be performed because there is no current database backup in SQL Server

I got the following error :

BACKUP LOG cannot be performed because there is no current database backup in SQL Server

When I tried to take a Back up LOG via Management Studio by doing the mentioned steps below:

Right click on the database name.

Select Tasks > Backup.

Select “Transaction Log” as the backup type.

Select “Disk” as the destination.

Click on “Add…” to add a backup file and type…
