It’s 3:30am and I’m too fucking pissed to fall back asleep

So remember how I mentioned I bought those wine cubes? Anyway, here’s a refresher:

Both broke upon assembly. I paid $30 EACH. I sent the seller a very angry email. This was their response:

Balinda is about to get an earful of very angry Chase because $18?! You’re joking, right? “Could you please fix them and reinforce it?” They literally BROKE IN HALF! How do you expect me to fix that besides buying brand new boards?!

Last night, I did just that, spending a whopping $56 on replacement boards that are a) much thicker and sturdier than whatever soft shitty wood they used to originally make these and b) actually paint finished.

Maybe I didn’t explain myself well enough the first time, Balinda, so let me try again. You sold me a shitty product. It broke in several key places that are supposed to hold the structure. There is no structural integrity left to hold the 24 wine bottles these cubes supposedly hold. You think a little wood glue is going to fix this? I could have gone to Home Depot and made these damn things myself with better materials at the same cost! But since it’s winter and the garage isn’t heated, I chose to buy them based off the good reviews left on your listing.

The instructions provided with these cubes are shoddy at best with no clear indication of how to actually insert the “X” once the frame is built. Not to mention, the “X” itself doesn’t even fit properly! It took 3 people and a rubber mallet to get the first one in and it still broke!

I used the scientific method the second time around thinking I’d avoid the problem altogether by building the “X” first and the frame around it, but it only proved that the wood used for these cubes is far too soft to withstand even the slightest pressure applied to it.

Therefore, I am not accepting $18 as compensation and will be putting a stop payment on my credit card for this purchase. Then I’ll be contacting eBay AND PayPal about the shoddiness of your product and how you expect me to “fix” it when there is no conceivable way to do so!

Oh, my god! That felt so good to write! I’m going to wait until my sister and BIL wake up before I send anything back because my BIL is the master of getting full refunds.
