storyteller saturday. what was the first fandom you ever wrote for, and whats the most prominent one you write for now? got any original works & ideas youre cooking up? if so, what are you looking most forward to getting around to?

let's see. first fandom i ever wrote for, as in i vaguely understood the concept of fanfiction while putting down words, was Devil May Cry back in 2003. none of it ever saw the light of day because i had no internet at the time, and honestly that was for the best. first fandom i wrote for and shared to the internet was Vampire Knight (i think). nowadays i mostly write Five Nights at Freddy's fic and the occasional live action Sonic! which are two fandoms i never in a million years thought i'd write for.

as for original stuff, hell yeah i do! i'm currently querying a book titled Define Home to Me, which is a Caribbean folk horror featuring creepy crawlies, cults, and the horrific realities of being a stranger in your homeland. i wouldn't say i'm looking forward to it, but i have a rewrite slated if this upcoming batch brings back nothing.

otherwise, i'm working on something i'm calling The Singularity Project (title still pending). it's this massive multimedia project that is part "analog horror", part "ARG", and entirely a massive headache. LMAO. i've got its bare bones down and a good chunk of writing is done, mainly in the form of a couple of scripts, the found footage journal entries, and part of the game that serves at its launch point! again, i wouldn't say i'm looking forward to it (that's a lie, i totally am) but first up on the chopping block is getting that first video finished so i can finally get to work on that demo. it's a grueling experience but it's also been really fun so despite my whining i'm really really excited to keep chomping away at it!

15. Comfort food?

OOOOOOOHHHHHH I have a real controversial pick here. Cincinnati Chili. I'm not even from Ohio. Somehow, my maternal grandmother got hold of a recipe for it in the 80's and it became a family dish. I really love the homemade stuff!

I'm vegetarian so now I just switch the ground beef out for whatever meat sub I want at the time. I prefer it without beans and with the following toppings-cheese, onion, oyster cracker (i think this may be a version of 4-way? Any midwesterners wanna chime in if they know?)

20. Tell us about a memory you hold close to your heart.

I've always been into j-fashion, and this would have been in the upper midwest about 2006. So...my clothing stood WAY out.

I had a decora fairy cat princess outfit I had both put together and made items for (I had taken a layered tutu and turned them into legwarmers, I had lots of layers and hair clips, cat ears, a tiara and wand, it was EXTRA). I got a lot of negative attention-but I was once in this outfit at a rural walmart, and walking past a very young toddler crying. Her dad was trying to console her and must have heard the stomping of my platforms-and when he saw me he legit started beaming. He was sooooo excited to show his daughter that there was a cat princess right next to her! She was really having a rough time, bless her, but seeing me did calm her down, and it was genuinely so touching to have a positive interaction about my outfit. (and for the outfit to be appreciated for what it was!)

20. If your soul was a color, what would it be?

This color! To me, it has to be both a warm color, but yet a cool color. Because of the feelings™. I balance both having lived too much and too little, and feeling way too much about it all...so hopefully my soul is a really beautiful red-violet-magenta of sorts.

25.fave season and why?

This is an incredibly unique answer on tumblr.com-autumn. I have a lot of experience with death (experienced 3 deaths within a year when I was 5, this was an omen lmao) and I really like the transition between things dying and then going to fallow to be reborn. I've also had that sort of circular pattern of dying and being reborn due to trauma and my mental, so I guess I love the whole external vibe of autumn kind of matching an internal vibe of the soul.

26. fave colour and why?

I'm a warm color person! It's hard for me to choose out of that spectrum. I really like dark oranges, rusty reds, and pastel shades of pink. I also have like, really white ass red toned skin and I kind of love the horrid complementary clash of my stupid midwestern inflammed skin against warm tones. :3c
