I am so in love with Bad Town RP (@badtownrp) and the people there. From the moment I joined everyone was so welcoming and inclusive, ready to plot or help me develop my character and connections. Circle Daybreak Emerges.

Edgith Stonebrook and Marnie Harman, two of the most powerful witches in New Orleans, have come forward as the leaders of Circle Daybreak.

No longer keeping their presence to the shadows, Edgith Stonebrook and Marnie Harman, alongside a council of other strong witches, have made themselves known as leaders of the newly returned Circle Daybreak. They claim that their fight is one for equality of all species in the aim to live peacefully in a new age.

As Circle Daybreak has emerged from the shadows NOLA has erupted into talk surrounding the bold move from Edgith and Marnie. Although, Daybreak are yet to make any move in regards to revolution, it is heavily implied in their statements that they wish for some kind of alteration to the current social structure. This in itself could be considered a form of attack by the NWG who are eager to quickly put down anything that opposes them, and Edgith and Marnie are likely very aware of this fact. Perhaps, Daybreak have something more up their sleeve, for two wise witches would surely not go public if they didn’t think they stood a chance against the corrupt government in place.

Your characters now have a choice. To join Daybreak, in many eyes, would be like signing a death sentence. The NWG will be on hyper alert for any action that could warrant them little enough reason to terminate those involved. But it might be what is needed to fight for the rights of all species, humans included, especially for those discovering soulmates from other social standings. On the other hand, your character may be openly against such efforts.

All we know is the Night World is at it’s most unstable in decades, and what is yet to come is anyone’s guess.

@badtownrp is honestly the most welcoming group I've been a member of in a long time. I've been in it for a couple weeks now, and everyone is just so friendly and inviting and it's been a really great experience. The admin team does an excellent job of making sure people are enjoying themselves, and make things exciting with cool plot drops and I just really love being a part of it. I haven't had this much fun in a group in forever, & it's because of how great everyone is both in character & out.

For our second event we want you to delve into your character’s past. A large part of the roleplay is the connections you make with other characters, so the task is to write a past self para or even some past f2f’s with others! We’re jumping exactly a year into the past, so 1st August 2018, and we won’t be pausing the dash, so continue as normal otherwise. Just tag your past para’s ‘badtownevent’ and make it obvious they’re not for present day. This task isn’t mandatory, but it could be fun to write out a past version of your characters. The event will last from today (like rn) til 9pm EST on Saturday, though you can continue posting your past para’s whenever you get to finishing them. Happy roleplaying!

Picture the square outside the NWG Council in New Orleans. Stood at the steps to the building: Edgith Stonebrook and Marnie Harman, leaders of Circle Daybreak. Behind them, five Night Worlders who haven’t seen the light of day in centuries. Edgith and Marnie believe they have done the only thing they can to stand up against the corrupt vampire government with a chance of success, to finally put an end to this age of inequality and unrest. They do not realise that in re-awakening the five dragons they have not brought in stronger forces to fight for Daybreak but added a third side to the war. A war the dragons are determined to win this time around. As Mayor Clarington and his council step out of the doors of the NWG building followed by security, the oldest of the five dragons, Terrowin steps forward. In seconds, the councilmen behind the mayor are in flames. Terrowin, the leader of the five, has transformed into his true state, a species people believed they were never going to see again, something most people had only read about. The security that was supposed to be protecting them had either ran to protect Mayor Clarington or ducked for cover. Even if they wanted to fight back none of them were prepared for this onslaught of power as the other four dragons took to the air. Terrowin’s voice booms out across the lawn, “Those who wish to follow us we will welcome into a new age. Those who stand against us will perish.” With that, the five took to the skies as the flames continued to burn where the councilmen had once stood.

It is unclear how Circle Daybreak feels about this event. The NWG are assuming this was their intention, or at the very least holding them accountable, which leads to tensions being even higher than they were before. Especially with five all-powerful dragons returned to the New Orleans Night World, and the outbreak of war on the horizon.

Character Development

After being open for more than a month Maya and I thought it would be fun to get to know the groups characters and their connections a little more. That is why we decided to set an optional activity for you all! For this task we will be asking you guys to make Moodboards for your character!

Along with doing a moodboard for your character you can also make them for different aspects of their personality, species, and interests. You can also make them for their connections with other people in the group along with their family. The possibilities are endless! I can’t wait to see what you guys are able to come up with.
