i think i need to stop getting so caught up in what other people want or think is correct bc it’s really just limiting me and stressing me out at this point
#people having different interpretations is part of what makes fandom interesting#it feels like my brain is trying to bend over backwards trying to conform to what other people think#like. no??? don’t do that???#it’s like this weird thing where i’m convinced everyone else is right except me#which i guess is just a normal social thing. that’s how social norms happen and societies function#but i’m not sure why it’s cropping up so much right now for me#this is silly. everyone else is fine with saying whatever why am i trying to appeal to people.#BAH.#i think the silliest instance of this is with yugi and the puzzle’s weird relationship#(yes there’s a name for it but i don’t want this to go into that very sparse tag lol)#i’m trying to get my head around everyone else’s interpretations of it at the expense of my own#because for some reason i’ve got it in my head that the idea doesn’t belong to me#which is silly because i think the whole thing was kickstarted by nyx and i rambling in each others’ inboxes#i think. maybe. i’m pretty sure.#whatever. doesn’t matter.#i guess maybe i’m just too desperate to talk to people and it’s making me feel like i have to minimize myself to do that#i don’t knowwwwwww#point is i should really stop beating myself up thinking i don’t have good ideas#ramblings#why am i so nervous about posting this#why am i so nervous in general right now actually#maybe i’m overstimulated or something
