I just felt like bragging that I have raspberried all three of my boys on their tummies and survived. I am living in a weird reality where all three cats I own actively like to have their bellies ruffled, petted, and generally interacted with. Solas is less fond of my face coming in close to him in any way so I don't raspberry or kiss him often, and Kai is just clearly baffled by any kisses, but Oreo has decided kisses are how I headbutt affectionately, so he bumps up into ones I give his head.
Raleigh gives bonks. We approach him when he’s On A Surface such as the counter or his admiration station (cat tree) and tip our heads down and say “bonk” and he headbutts us with a nice “thunk” sound. He’s very good at it. Which is fortunate, because he’s not very good at much else besides being not-smart and clumsy. Today he ran clean into the side of the bathtub while running from Fancy during a game of chase.
I’ve wondered if he has a vision issue, but even with vision issues, he is still the cat that backed up off the counter into the trash, has fallen off the bed countless times while wallowing for belly rubs, and tripped, TRIPPED, over his own front feet on level, unobstructed ground.
He has . . . I don’t know what to call it. Proprioception issues? He doesn’t always know where his body is in relation to the things around him. Bless him. He’s the kindest boy. I love him so very dearly.
